What to Expect From Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will arrive on Disney+ on March 4, 2026, picking up where the first season left off. The first season ended with Mayor Fisk taking control of New York City by declaring martial law and banning vigilantes. He formed a task force to enforce these new rules and had already arrested several vigilantes, including Swordsman and the Punisher. However, Daredevil himself managed to evade capture.
Matt Murdock was nearly reckless, but Karen Page persuaded him to be more strategic in his fight against Kingpin. Instead of going in alone, Daredevil started gathering allies to take on New York City’s corrupt mayor, and this will likely bring other heroes into the second season of Born Again. Krysten Ritter is confirmed to return as Jessica Jones, and she could join Daredevil’s team along with characters like the Punisher, White Tiger, and Swordsman – possibly even other members of the Defenders.
In addition to battling Kingpin and his forces, Daredevil will face off against powerful figures in New York politics, including the mysterious Mr. Charles (Matthew Lillard) and the state’s governor (Lili Taylor). Several actors from previous Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again seasons – Margarita Levieva, Wilson Bethel, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Michael Gandolfini, Royce Johnson, and others – will return. The upcoming season of Born Again is expected to be a significant step up from what fans have seen before, offering a darker, more realistic, and more polished story than either the previous season or the original Defenders series.
