Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are keeping things peachy for the sake of their kids.
Despite recently announcing their divorce after 11 years of marriage, the former couple appeared friendly and supportive of each other at their daughter Blaze’s sixth birthday party.
Kandi and Todd looked happy while posing with their children, Blaze and 9-year-old Ace, at a Snow White-themed party on November 22nd, according to photos published by TMZ.
Both of them shared birthday messages for Blaze, but interestingly, neither included pictures of the other person in their posts.
Kandi celebrated her son Blaze’s sixth birthday with a sweet social media post on November 22nd. She expressed how quickly time passes and praised his strength, intelligence, talent, creativity, and vibrant personality, calling him her ‘beautiful little princess’!
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a sweet message, saying, “I love you so much! Let’s all wish @blazetucker a happy birthday!”
Todd shared a sweet birthday message for his daughter, Blaze, writing, “Happy Birthday to my Baby Blaze! She’s my beautiful little princess and always warms my heart. It’s hard to believe she’s already six years old! Daddy loves you so much!”
The previous day, Kandi had released a statement confirming their shocking split.
She announced on November 21st that she has decided to get a divorce. “This is a really tough time, but I’m prioritizing my well-being and focusing on being a good mom and raising our children with kindness and respect,” she said in a statement to People magazine.
The 49-year-old shared that she’s starting a new phase of life, focusing on her career, family, and personal development.
I’ve always been so touched by the incredible support we’ve received over the years, and it means the world to us. Right now, we’re going through a big change as a family, and all we ask is for a little privacy, kindness, and understanding as we adjust.
Honestly, the news about Kandi and Todd really surprised me, but looking back, there were definitely hints. I noticed she quietly removed “Tucker” from her Instagram name a while ago, and then at BravoCon this November, Todd was noticeably absent when Kandi received that incredible Lifetime Achievement Award. She did mention him in her speech, which made it even more confusing, but now it all makes sense. It’s just sad to see.
Kandi thanked Todd on November 14th, acknowledging everything they’d been through together – the online drama, the negativity, the gossip, both true and false, and all the arguments and disagreements, including those that escalated. She said he deserved the award just as much as anyone.
Todd replied to his wife’s post about her speech, commenting on her November 16th Instagram video, “You absolutely deserved that recognition! You handled everything with grace and are a true inspiration. You’re the best!”
