You’re really missing out if you haven’t checked out the latest DC Comics event! DC K.O. started with a fantastic first issue, and now 32 of DC’s most popular heroes and villains are battling it out in a tournament to become King Omega – a being as powerful as Darkseid himself. But before the head-to-head fights begin, the first round will cut the competition in half with a unique challenge: a scavenger hunt.
In DC K.O. #2, the Heart of Apokolips sends thirty-two fighters to a barren world filled with incredibly powerful DC artifacts. Items like Psycho-Pirate’s Medusa Mask and a Mother Box are hidden throughout the landscape, and whoever finds one can use its power to gain an advantage and advance to the next round. Find out which fighters claim these powerful relics and what incredible boosts they receive!
7. Joker Goes Big with the Atom’s Belt

It’s no surprise that the Joker’s new gadget makes him even more dangerous. He’s managed to steal the Atom’s belt, which lets him change size, and while it’s not the most powerful item in the competition, it allows him to quickly take out opponents – like Giganta, whom he easily defeated. The Joker is now a huge unpredictable threat in DC K.O., and his ability to grow to skyscraper size means trouble for everyone else.
6. Harley Quinn Quickly Nabs a Speed Force Ring

Many readers have questioned Harley Quinn’s participation in the tournament, but her performance in the preceding scavenger hunt proved she’s a force to be reckoned with – she fought aggressively, even using mallets! She surprised Guy Gardner and stole the Flash’s Ring, which immediately gave her access to the Speed Force. For the rest of the story, Harley uses her newfound speed to try and eliminate the Joker from the competition. Although she doesn’t succeed, she quickly adapts to the Speed Force, unexpectedly mastering super-speed in a very short time.
5. The Flash Can Slay Deities with God Killer Sword

This tournament’s Flash isn’t the young speedster Wally West – it’s Jay Garrick, and he’s proving he’s still a force to be reckoned with. In the middle of DC K.O. #2, a chaotic fight erupts over the God Killer Sword, a weapon as dangerous as its name suggests. While Metamorpho, Plastic Man, and Starro are all fighting for it, the Flash cleverly snatches the sword for himself. Though we don’t see much of it in action, the God Killer Sword is incredibly powerful, and combined with Garrick’s speed, it makes him a serious contender.
4. Wonder Woman is Worthy of Thor’s Hammer

Okay, so DC just did something really cool – they had Wonder Woman pick up Thor’s hammer! It happened during the current competition, where the villain Starro had taken control of several fighters, including Diana. Luckily, Zatanna stepped in to help, pointing Wonder Woman towards the hammer. And let me tell you, seeing her summon lightning and obliterate Starro’s spores was awesome! This isn’t the first time she’s proven worthy – it’s happened at least twice before – but honestly, Wonder Woman with Thor’s hammer is a fantastic pairing, and I’m excited to see how she uses it as the tournament progresses.
3. Lex Luthor Raises the Dead with Black Lantern Ring

Those familiar with the Blackest Night comic book arc will recall Lex Luthor’s short time as an Orange Lantern, which sparked his interest in Power Rings. He eventually found a hidden supply of rings, but while Star Sapphire claimed most of them, Lex seized the Black Lantern Ring. With it, he resurrected a horde of ancient, undead gods. Lex could have chosen any color ring, but he opted for black, understanding that in a fight for survival, controlling the dead would give him a significant advantage.
2. Green Lantern Masters Time and Space with Worlogog

This issue is rough for Guy Gardner! He keeps almost grabbing powerful objects – like the Speed Force ring and the Claw of Horus – but someone always gets there first. However, Guy ultimately wins by finding the Worlogog, a cosmic artifact linked to the Fourth World that grants complete control over time and space. Despite a difficult journey, Guy might actually come out on top with this powerful new item.
1. Superman Is… In Possession of Darkseid’s Ultimate Power

You might be wondering about the strange item. The fighters have been told that acting like Darkseid will bring them a reward. Superman suddenly understands that, just like Darkseid sacrificed himself for more power in the DC All In Special, he needs to make the same sacrifice. And he’s rewarded: Superman gains Darkseid’s Omega Sanction, the most powerful ability in the second round. It’s a shocking moment, and thankfully for Lex, the round ends before Superman can actually use the power to fire an Omega Beam.
