A new teaser for The Strangers – Chapter 3 suggests a replacement for the character Pin-Up Girl will appear in the final movie of the horror trilogy. The end of The Strangers — Chapter 2 showed Maya (Madelaine Petsch) killing Shelly, also known as Pin-Up Girl (Ema Horvath), setting up this new development for Chapter 3.
Lionsgate has dropped a first look at The Strangers — Chapter 3, suggesting the next attacker will be known as Pin-Up Girl. The trailer shows Maya still being hunted by Scarecrow and Dollface. It features Maya in several lonely places, with a bruised and bloody face, and includes audio of a conversation between her and Sheriff Rotter (Richard Brake) while they’re driving.
The preview shows the Strangers continuing to kidnap and terrorize people. It also suggests that a new character, possibly Maya, will become the next ‘Pin-Up Girl.’ But the trailer doesn’t reveal much, keeping the story a secret. Finally, it announces that The Strangers — Chapter 3 will arrive in theaters on February 6, 2026.
Although all The Strangers movies share a common pattern, this series has tried to delve deeper into why the group does what it does, and where they came from. The second film, in particular, gave us background on the character known as Pin-Up Girl, revealing she used to work at Carol’s Diner in Venus County. Despite her death, the group will continue their violent attacks.
The trailer and the end of The Strangers — Chapter 2 show Maya attempting to leave Venus County by walking, having lost faith in the town. The scene also hints she might put on the Pin-Up Girl mask, but it’s currently unknown why or how this will happen – whether it’s to survive or for some other reason.
The last movie in the slasher trilogy will definitely have some surprising twists, possibly even changing who the main character is loyal to. This could create a really exciting ending, particularly if she ends up becoming the new killer after taking the place of the one she killed before. That would make the group of villains even more unpredictable and strange.
I’m really hoping The Strangers — Chapter 3 can finally deliver on the promise of this series! The first two movies weren’t exactly hits with critics, and I think revealing more about who Pin-Up Girl really is could be just what this trilogy needs to end strong. Even if it doesn’t completely change things, I appreciate that they’re trying something new and bringing the whole story to a head. It feels like a fresh take on the classic slasher formula.
