Moon Knight Season 2 Update Surprises Oscar Isaac MCU Fans

For over three years since its television premiere, an update on Moon Knight‘s second season has been disclosed, hinting at the potential plotline. This announcement follows Moon Knight’s creator Jeremy Slater confirming his absence from the potential future episode, confessing that he hasn’t had much communication with Marvel Studios for quite some time.

Moon Knight, the series, originates from the Marvel character conceived by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. In this production, Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac portrays both Steven Grant and Marc Spector, while also acting as an executive producer. Accompanying him are Ethan Hawke playing Arthur Harrow, F. Murray Abraham lending his voice to Khonshu, and May Calamawy stepping into the role of Layla. Since its premiere, Season 1 has garnered a 86% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 249 reviews.

What is the new Moon Knight Season 2 update?

According to recent news, Marvel Studios continues to work on a second season of Moon Knight. This project is part of their ongoing endeavors and could potentially tie into their long-discussed Midnight Sons film. The report suggests that the second season will see the return of Marc Spector and Steven Grant as they collaborate to unravel a mystery, which eventually leads them to confront the third personality, Jake Lockley. The finale of Season 1 hinted at Jake Lockley’s continued allegiance to Khonshu.

Previously, I mentioned in an interview that the fate of Moon Knight within the MCU is largely dependent on the lead actor, Oscar Isaac, and Marvel Studios’ head honcho, Kevin Feige.

Slater suggested, ‘You should discuss this with Kevin Feige and Oscar Isaac. Essentially, it’s up to them, especially Oscar, how much Moon Knight we might see. Kevin has the overall strategy, and I believe when he finds a way to effectively integrate Moon Knight into the storyline, we may get another appearance from him. However, like everyone else, I’m eagerly waiting to find out.’
