With The Game Awards just a few weeks away, some game publishers are building excitement for their upcoming reveals, while others are having details unexpectedly shared online.
Fans have spotted something interesting: Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Control, has filed a trademark for something called “Control Resonant.”
It’s worth noting the application was officially filed by Nordia Attorneys at Law, the firm that also handles all of Remedy Entertainment’s trademarks, as pointed out by MP1st.
Given the name and the app’s description mentioning “video game services,” it’s pretty clear what it does.
Despite the developer having worked on a sequel for a while, their recent plans indicate they’re currently prioritizing the Max Payne remakes in collaboration with Rockstar.
This might connect to the planned TV show based on Control, developed with Annapurna Pictures. It would make sense to hear about it at The Game Awards, actually.
The show’s set to get underway on 11th December, so we won’t have to wait long to find out.
