Doctor Who has a lot going on right now! A new spin-off series, titled The War Between the Land and the Sea, will be released this December.

The BBC has announced that it’s no longer partnering with Disney on its flagship show.

But don’t worry, the Doctor and the TARDIS will return next Christmas! Russell T Davies, the show’s creator, is already writing a brand new Christmas special.

Davies said he hasn’t begun writing the special yet. He’s currently focused on his project, ‘[The War Between the Land and the Sea],’ and is also filming a show in Manchester. He expects to start working on the special next year when his schedule frees up.

Davies hasn’t revealed much about the story, but he assured fans that he has a complete understanding of how it all unfolds. He stated, “I know exactly what happens, so you don’t need to worry.”

Starting December 7th, you can watch ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’ on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. All episodes of Doctor Who are also currently available on BBC iPlayer.
