The streamer unveiled this thrilling news on Thursday and even opened casting in the US and UK. This reality competition series, inspired by the phenomenal Squid Game, challenges 456 players to test their skills for a life-altering prize of $4.56 million! Mark your calendars because the show returns on Nov. 4th, following the historic success of season 3 of the original South Korean drama, which was the first show ever to debut at No. 1 in all countries during its premiere week.

In the upcoming third season of “Squid Game: The Challenge” on Netflix, participants will engage in intense games inspired by the original series, form strategic partnerships, and possibly resort to treacherous deceptions, all with the goal of winning an enormous $4.56 million prize. Applications for “Squid Game: The Challenge” season 3 are now being accepted on the Cast It website.
Candidates need to be at least 21 years old, should have the availability to participate in the program for as long as three weeks, they must possess a valid passport throughout the filming duration, and they can’t currently or previously work for Netflix, Studio Lambert, or The Garden production companies. As per the regulations, Netflix invites applicants to submit a one-minute video sharing personal details, reasons for wanting to join Squid Game: The Challenge, proposed strategies, and ideas on how they would use a substantial 4.56 million prize if successful.
Netflix is inviting 456 individuals to join their team, using the interactive “Squid Game: The Experience” in New York and London as a platform. This ticketed, temporary event will run from July 17th onwards. Participants at each location stand a chance to be preferred during casting for “Squid Game: The Challenge” season 3; however, it doesn’t mean they are guaranteed a spot in the show. Applicants can access the application process through social media and QR codes available at “The Experience.
In the global applicant pool for Squid Game: The Challenge season 1, as reported by Netflix, a staggering 81,000 individuals participated. Throughout the 10-episode series, the number of contestants was reduced from an initial 456 to one ultimate winner. The series premiered in November 2023 and garnered a total of 224 million hours watched within its first three weeks.
Additionally, Netflix is developing a U.S. version of “Squid Game,” produced by David Fincher and titled “Squid Game: The Challenge.” The second season debuts on November 4.
