Iron Man 3 (2013): “Merry Christmas, Buddy”

As a huge Guardians fan, I always think back to that amazing scene in the 2014 movie where we first see the whole team together. It’s just a perfect shot – them all lined up like criminals in front of the Nova Corps. The wide angle really captures how mismatched and wild they are, and honestly, that Nova Corps officer perfectly sums them up when he grumbles about what a bunch of troublemakers they are! It was such a fantastic way to introduce them – chaotic, funny, and just brilliant.
This moment is incredibly important for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It establishes who these cosmic heroes are and, more broadly, defines what the Guardians franchise is all about – making a fantastic first impression.
Unlike the polished Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy are a delightfully messy, funny, and unpredictable team. This perfectly captures what the movie is all about, making it a key and memorable moment.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015): Hulk vs Veronica
2015’s Age of Ultron features several memorable scenes. These include the Avengers dramatically leaping into action against a Hydra base in slow motion, Ultron’s initial confrontation with the team while wearing damaged Iron Man armor, and the Avengers fighting off countless drones in Sokovia.
But the most striking moment for us is when Hulk and Iron Man’s Hulkbuster punch each other at the same time during their Johannesburg battle. It’s one of the most visually stunning scenes in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a truly memorable fight as Iron Man desperately tries to control Bruce Banner’s rage.
Ant-Man (2015): Fighting Yellowjacket In Cassie’s Room
One of the most exciting moments in the 2015 film Ant-Man is the fight between Scott Lang and Darren Cross, where they battle on top of Cassie’s toys in a bedroom.
The film cleverly switches between close-up and wide shots, portraying an epic battle that feels massive to the characters involved, but appears comically tiny from a normal viewpoint.
The joke about Thomas the Tank Engine in Ant-Man is a highlight, but a particularly memorable scene shows Ant-Man emerging from a shaggy rug with an army of ants. It’s a defining moment for the character, and a strong way to end the second phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
