ITV has released a preview of the upcoming special episode where characters from Coronation Street and Emmerdale will appear together, set to air early next year.
This episode will launch a new daily schedule for our two popular soaps, bringing together favorite characters from Weatherfield and Hotten for a special event.
We haven’t had many specifics until now, but a new trailer reveals a major car crash will be a central event in the story.
Considering wanted posters for criminal John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) have been seen at the Weatherfield Police Station, it’s highly likely he’ll reappear in the story somehow.

There’s a strong suggestion that Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is the demanding bride causing problems for wedding planner Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in Manchester.
Tonight is sure to be a night no one will ever forget. As a terrible storm descends on a lonely country road in Hotten, people’s lives hang in the balance, and some recognizable voices can be heard calling out…

I’m so excited to see more of my favorite characters! We already knew Vicky Myers and Danny Miller were returning as Lisa and Aaron, but the trailer just revealed that David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford), and Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) will be joining them – I can’t wait to see what they’re up to!
What exactly causes the disaster remains to be seen, but it’s not one to be missed.
Recent photos reveal a car flipped over with flames shooting out, and a person lying nearby on the ground.
I saw a really striking image – just a dark outline of a man walking by a flipped car, with a fire truck speeding towards it, completely enveloped in smoke. It was a powerful visual moment, hinting at the chaos unfolding.
As a big fan of soaps, I’m already hooked by what ITV is teasing about Corrie! They’re saying the recent events are only the beginning, and things are about to get seriously intense. We’re talking revenge plots, someone potentially dying, a lot of hidden truths coming out, and a web of lies – it sounds like a really gripping storyline is unfolding.
In October, Corrie producer Kate Brooks teased what was ahead.

The filming process has been fantastic, with a great director and excellent scripts. The actors are really enjoying the project because it’s unlike anything they’ve worked on previously, she shared.
“The mood and camaraderie is really infectious!”
She went on to say she was thinking about her mum watching the episode. Knowing her mum loves soap operas, she imagined she’d be incredibly excited to watch this special event, featuring characters from two of her favorite shows all together – it was a truly unmissable television moment.

A lot of dedicated work has gone into making this happen, both by the cast and the team working behind the scenes. It was a significant logistical challenge to get everything organized and ready.
This really shows how dedicated and enthusiastic everyone involved is. People have truly poured their hearts into this project.
