
5 has revealed its full festive schedule – and there’s a lot to look forward to.
This December, fans can look forward to a special episode of All Creatures Great and Small, airing on Wednesday, December 24th at 9pm.
Also airing on the same day, at 8pm, is a behind-the-scenes documentary called All Creatures Great & Small: Behind the Scenes. It offers a look at where the TV series is filmed and reveals how it’s made.
Don’t miss a special holiday episode of Madame Blanc Mysteries on Tuesday, December 23rd at 8pm! This year’s episode will be the longest one yet, clocking in at two hours.
This Christmas, Channel 5 will also be showing ‘The Yorkshire Vet Christmas Special’ on December 22nd at 8pm, followed by ‘Christmas on the Farm’ at 9pm. ‘Sally Lindsay’s Christmas Quiz Night’ airs on December 23rd at 10pm.
The network will also be showing a Christmas special of “The Good Ship Murder” on December 29th at 9pm, followed by “Sally Lindsay’s 80s Quiz Night” at 10pm.

The 2025 Christmas special of All Creatures Great and Small will be set during the first Christmas after World War II, in December 1945. When Helen falls ill, James has to step in and manage the annual Nativity play in Darrowby.
Siegfried revisits Mrs. Stokes’s Farm to check on Hilda the goat, who’s been causing trouble again. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hall is eager to win the local darts competition, hoping to claim the first prize: a turkey, which is hard to come by because of the war.
Mrs. Hall, captain of the Skeldale darts team, is encouraging everyone to practice so they can improve their odds of winning. However, a visit from an old friend unexpectedly throws both her and Siegfried into a situation where Siegfried has to make a significant choice.
Charlotte finally discovers what Tristan has been thinking about, and their connection grows even stronger.

Channel 5 isn’t the only broadcaster with a packed schedule of Christmas entertainment. The BBC, Sky, and Channel 4 have all recently announced what they’ll be showing over the holidays.
This Christmas, the BBC is bringing back some of its most popular shows with special episodes, including Call the Midwife, Beyond Paradise, and Death in Paradise.
This holiday season, Channel 4 will be showing specials like The Great Celebrity Bake Off and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, while Sky offers festive movies including Tinsel Town and A Minecraft Movie.
