Adam Sandler is happy his daughters are pursuing their acting dreams.
Adam Sandler talked about his daughters, Sadie and Sunny, potentially following in his acting footsteps. Sadie, 19, even plays his daughter in his new film, Jay Kelly. Sunny is 17. He and his wife, Jackie Sandler, are parents to both of them.
Adam shared in an interview with TopMob News that his children are talented and passionate about acting, hoping to pursue it as a career. He simply wants them to be happy and successful in life, saying he’s rooting for them.
Sadie and Sunny, like their father, have appeared in films such as Happy Gilmore 2 and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, and they sometimes ask him for career guidance. However, they’re charting their own course by choosing not to pursue stand-up comedy.
Adam, 59, said his children appreciate his advice but ultimately pursue their own goals. He used to perform stand-up comedy, but they’re interested in focusing solely on acting.
That works well for the former Saturday Night Live cast member. He added that he just wants his children – who he described as funny and kind – to be happy with whatever they choose to do.
Ultimately, Adam is the pair’s No. 1 fan.
He enjoys spending time with them, both at work and in their personal lives. He feels most comfortable and productive when they’re working well together.
And for Adam, working with Sadie and Sunny is just as rewarding.
