Sony is rolling out a new software update for the PS5 worldwide, but it might not be available in your region just yet.
The latest update, version 25.08-12.40.00, is rolling out gradually, so it might not be available in your area right away.
Don’t worry, you’re not missing much – this is one of the manufacturer’s typical updates focused on improving stability.
Here are the patch notes:
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
- We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
We haven’t received the update yet, so we don’t know how large the file will be. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
To avoid interruptions, it’s best to leave your console in Rest Mode. This allows it to download and install new updates automatically when you’re not using it.
