No Christmas would be complete without plenty of festive TV, right? Now we know exactly when fans can watch the Christmas specials for both Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise.
We recently announced some great guest stars, and now we have the air dates! Beyond Paradise will premiere on December 21st at 9pm, followed by Death in Paradise on December 28th at 8:30pm. Don’t forget to save these dates!
The new installment of Beyond Paradise returns to Shipton Abbott, where Humphrey and his colleagues are quickly swamped with work. Their investigations take an intriguing turn when a man is discovered with a picture of Humphrey – but he has no idea who Humphrey is or even who he himself is.
Meanwhile, with Anne and Zoe’s assistance, and a little help from a surprise visitor, Martha is working hard to complete her secret project. At the same time, Kelby is trying to assist a mysterious man who’s stuck inside a snowman costume.
With surprise guests arriving, a surge in holiday crimes, and a touching reunion in the works, the team has a lot on its plate. Can they handle everything and still be prepared for a major discovery?

Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton are back as DI Humphrey Goodman and Martha Lloyd, and they’ll be joined by returning cast members Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford), Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd), Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins), Jamie Bamber (Archie Hughes), and Melina Sinadinou (Zoe Williams).
The Christmas special will feature several new actors joining the cast, including Adrian Edmondson (known for Alien: Earth), James Lance (from Ted Lasso), and Jonny Weldon (who appeared in One Day).
In just one week, fans of the show Death in Paradise will be transported to the beautiful island of Saint Marie—and surprisingly, to Swindon, England—for the newest season.
The office Christmas party of a lifetime turns deadly when four colleagues discover a stranger has died in the pool at their Caribbean villa.
Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson and his team have discovered the murder weapon, but its location is a complete mystery. It was found locked in a drawer in Swindon – thousands of miles away from where the murder happened! Stranded on Saint Marie, the team reaches out to a trusted colleague for assistance in solving the puzzling case.
Mervin is worried while he waits for news about his brother, and it’s keeping him from enjoying the Christmas festivities on Saint Marie. Will he be able to sort out his family issues and finally join in the holiday spirit, both for himself and his colleagues on the island?
Joining Don Gilet as DI Mervin Wilson, the series also stars Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose, and Élizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey.
As with every season of Death in Paradise, expect some familiar faces making guest appearances. This time around, look out for Josie Lawrence (known from Outside Edge), Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead), Pearl Mackie (Doctor Who), James Baxter (Waterloo Road), Billy Harris (Ted Lasso), along with Oriana Charles and Alix Serman.
You can watch “Beyond Paradise” on BBC One and iPlayer starting December 21st at 9pm, and “Death in Paradise” will be available on December 28th at 8:30pm on the same platforms.
