With the release of Resident Evil: Requiem just around the corner, Japanese broadcaster NHK recently aired a documentary called “Legendary Games Chronicle: Biohazard” about the Resident Evil series. While an English-subtitled version isn’t available yet, footage shared on Twitter by @xiaogeyi shows a clip featuring classic zombies.
Okay, so these zombies… they’re not fast, more like they shamble along, but get too close and you’re in serious trouble. I was really getting stressed watching because even a perfect headshot didn’t take them down! Grace, the main character, started missing a few shots, and you could feel her getting tired. That’s when she wisely decided to just run upstairs – good call, Grace!
The game isn’t visually extravagant, but the limited ammunition emphasizes its focus on classic survival horror. Players control the character from a third-person perspective, though they can switch to first-person whenever they like.
I’m super hyped because Resident Evil Requiem is finally coming out on February 27th, 2026! It’s hitting all the platforms – Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and even the new Nintendo Switch 2. We should get a much better look at the game early next year, and fingers crossed, they’ll finally confirm if Leon S. Kennedy is actually in it – I’ve been hearing rumors for ages!
