Divisive James Bond film confirmed to air across Christmas ITV schedules

Lots of people consider watching a James Bond movie a Christmas tradition, and ITV is continuing that tradition by including one of the 007 films in its holiday lineup.

It might be unexpected, but the channel has chosen a somewhat controversial Bond film for its Christmas week showing. Instead of a classic favorite, they’ve selected Pierce Brosnan’s last Bond movie, Die Another Day, which often divides opinions.

The 2002 James Bond film, featuring John Cleese as Q and Halle Berry and Rosamund Pike as Bond girls, will be shown twice on ITV1. It will air first on Saturday, December 20th at 6:35pm, and again on Boxing Day at 10:15pm.

Our review gave the film three stars, noting that the plot and gadgets felt even more unbelievable than in previous installments. However, we particularly liked Pierce Brosnan’s performance, praising him for balancing the classic suave spy persona with a convincing edge of strength and a hint of danger.

Whether you’re still not a fan of the movie after all this time, or you just don’t enjoy James Bond films in general, the channel has lots of other options for the holidays. You can choose from beloved Christmas favorites like It’s a Wonderful Life, or more recent action movies like John Wick: Chapter 4.

This Christmas Day, the movie lineup includes two films: Dwayne Johnson’s “Red One” from last year, airing at 11:10pm, and the classic adventure film “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at 3:10pm.

Following the first Indiana Jones film, three more will be shown over the next few days. “Temple of Doom” will be on Boxing Day at 4:15pm, “The Last Crusade” on December 27th at 4:10pm, and “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” on December 28th at 2:50pm. “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” isn’t as popular as the other films.

What better way to enjoy the time between Christmas and New Year’s than by watching Harrison Ford as the adventurous archeologist?
