Many captivating movies and TV shows love to surprise viewers by concealing their true nature until a big reveal. Films like Drive, From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, and The Cabin In The Woods are great examples of this, but it’s less common on television. While some shows might shift genres gradually or play with familiar themes, very few are as bold as Lost in completely changing expectations. However, a new show in 2025 has emerged as a strong competitor in this art of deception.
Though it feels like a while ago, Hulu’s Paradise actually premiered in January and quickly gained attention from critics and viewers alike. What started as a political murder mystery soon unfolded into a complex, post-apocalyptic sci-fi series, filled with the kind of intriguing puzzles fans of Lost would appreciate. Good news for fans: a second season is coming soon! Hulu announced at Brazil Comic Con that the first three episodes of Paradise Season 2 will be available on February 23rd, and a new trailer offered a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Run And Watch Paradise Before It Returns
Though short, with only eight episodes airing from January to March 2025, the first season of Paradise expertly built suspense, gradually revealing its central mystery with skill. The series is anchored by compelling performances from Sterling K. Brown as Special Agent Xavier Collins and Julianne Nicholson as the initially sympathetic Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond. What begins as an investigation into a President’s murder expands into a larger, more science fiction-focused story, and creator Dan Fogelman cleverly keeps this key element hidden.
You have just over two months to catch up on the first season – it’s only eight episodes, so there’s really no reason to miss it! Season two is shaping up to be even bigger and more intense after a surprising cliffhanger, and the trailer suggests a thrilling, post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure. It’s definitely something to look forward to.
