Early in the PlayStation 5’s lifespan, Sony partnered with several game developers to publish their titles. One of those developers, Deviation Games, had a project cancelled earlier this year. Recently, gameplay footage of that cancelled game was released online.
Recent leaks from Dusk Golem have revealed over 10 minutes of gameplay footage on YouTube for a project codenamed “Draconis.” Those following PlayStation rumors may recognize this as the game some insiders have called the “ooze game.”
The game was originally planned to include a significant amount of slime-like creatures. However, according to Dusk Golem, the project at Deviation Games wasn’t simply shifted to another purpose – it’s been completely cancelled and won’t be released.
You can view the two gameplay videos below, which depict a third-person shooter:
In March 2024, Sony confirmed the closure of Deviation Games, and their first game was never publicly revealed. Sony had announced a partnership with the studio back in 2021, stating they were developing a completely new game concept.
The game was never officially released, but this footage gives us a glimpse of what the developers at Deviation Games intended. Some concept art from the project also surfaced earlier this year.
