On November 19, 2025, Dr. Henry had a severe fall through a gap in the stage during the preliminary competition. This caused a brain hemorrhage, loss of consciousness, a broken bone, cuts to her face, and other serious injuries, according to a statement released on December 8th. She was rushed to intensive care in Bangkok, where she remained in critical condition under close neurological observation and continues to need around-the-clock specialized care.

According to MUO, the 28-year-old will be returning to Jamaica soon with a dedicated medical team to continue treatment and recovery in the hospital.

The organization strongly reaffirmed its support for Gabrielle and her family, stating they’ve been helping since the accident.

The Miss Universe Organization has fully supported Gabrielle and her family, taking immediate responsibility for all related costs. They have covered all hospital bills, medical expenses, and the cost of rehabilitation in Thailand. Additionally, they’ve provided housing and living expenses for Dr. Henry’s mother and sister, who have been with her during this challenging time.

MUO is arranging a flight back to Jamaica for Gabrielle and her family, with medical personnel on board, and will pay for all of their ongoing medical care related to the accident.

The family of Miss Jamaica also shared their thanks to the organization for standing by them during this difficult time.

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, when she shared on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors told me recently—within the last year—that my condition was life-threatening.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.

A former contestant on The Bachelor had to be hospitalized after experiencing severe back pain. He described having to crawl to get help, and said the pain worsened during a road trip with a friend.

He described a strange tingling sensation that still affected him as of March 2025, sharing this on his Trading Secrets podcast. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he couldn’t even do a squat, or even stand on one leg without falling. Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised when doctors began commenting on her appearance online, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize she had been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section. Without the online comments, she wouldn’t have connected those injections to her symptoms. Schumer was relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, and she’s happy to be healthy. She shared this positive news in a February 2024 newsletter, calling it the “greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin. She suddenly began to have stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Though the symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the hole in her heart and is now feeling well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.

Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described the situation as scary and unexpected, but expressed gratitude that he was going to be okay.

He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, noticed he wasn’t well and took him to the hospital. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache while at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.

Drawing on her background in herbalism and holistic health, Shailene sought answers from both traditional doctors and alternative healers, hoping to find relief and understand what was happening to her body.

This search for wellness spanned ten years. The physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and, eventually, struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own skin.
