Weddings on Coronation Street rarely go as planned, and Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) wedding is proving to be no different.
After his mother passes away, Carl (Jonathan Howard) plans to run off with the money his sister worked hard to earn, but his partner, Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine), is pursuing him.
Before all of that, Christmas is set to be dramatic for the Driscoll family. Maggie is poised to reveal secrets about Eva Price, while Evelyn Plummer finds something shocking in the alleyway. Meanwhile, Becky Swain is plotting something nasty.
Here’s everything we know that’s happening between Monday 22nd December and Friday 2nd January.
Coronation Street episode guide for Christmas and New Year
Monday 22nd December – Hour-long episode at 8pm

Carl secretly takes money from Debbie’s account, while she’s distracted and doesn’t see a message from his mother, Elaine. Meanwhile, Ronnie learns her friends have planned a hen party for her, but she’s not excited about it and tries to appear happy anyway.
He goes on his bachelor party and unexpectedly tells his friends he’s meeting a lawyer to gain control of Debbie’s finances. Carl tries to hide his annoyance, and shortly after, Abi hurries off to find him, upset by a concerning phone call she received.

Things got a little crazy recently! Ben suddenly brought up the idea of having a baby – it all started because Susie wants a sibling – and it really threw Eva for a loop. Then, Carl mentioned finding Eva’s credit card in one of the rooms at Chariot Square, and that got Maggie really curious about what’s going on. It feels like a lot is happening, and I’m definitely on edge trying to figure it all out.
Fortunately, Ben quickly stepped in to explain that Will had brought his girlfriend there and used the card to cover the cost of the hotel suite.
Eva is upset and goes outside, where Adam comforts her. She’s feeling guilty about not being honest with Ben, but Adam tells her she did the right thing. It’s unclear what secret they’re both keeping.

Lisa gets a text from Carla asking to be taken off the mortgage for No. 6. Shortly after, Lisa sees a picture Carla posted online of her enjoying a cocktail.
Becky is frustrated that Costello is recovering, but she rushes to the hospital just as he’s being transferred to a rehabilitation center. She uses Lisa’s police badge to convince the hospital staff that she is authorized to take custody of him.
Shona and David go to an antenatal class, where David accidentally upsets the instructor. Meanwhile, Asha has a meeting with her boss.
Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th December – 30 -minute episode at 8.40pm

Okay, so Becky’s really trying to get Lisa into the Christmas spirit, telling her to just let go of all the stress. She even offers to give Lisa a neck massage, which is sweet, right? But then things get a little more intense – Becky starts kissing Lisa. Honestly, I’m on the edge of my seat – how is Lisa going to react to that? I need to know!
Good news for Swarla supporters: Lisa is determined to repair things with Carla and lets her know how much she cares via text.
Adam tries to help Eva process her anger by suggesting she write a letter to get her feelings out. Just then, Alya enters the room, and Adam hastily gives Eva a jewelry box, claiming it’s a Christmas gift he didn’t want her to see yet.

Maggie, curious about a gift she found, searched through Eva’s purse. She was let down to discover it was just a necklace with Alya’s name on it. But then, while returning the necklace to the box, she found a letter. Seeing an opportunity, Maggie decided to use the letter to her advantage and invited both Adam and Alya to Christmas dinner.
Carl, upset by some bad news, drunkenly texted James. Although he explained his actions, James threatened to reveal the message to Abi.
Todd isn’t thrilled about Christmas, especially being back at his small flat, but he’s happy to be working with George again. Theo has invited everyone over for Christmas Day, but is relying on Todd to handle all the cooking.

Sally brings Brody, Joanie, and Shanice to the prison, where they hold up a banner hoping Lou will see it on the security cameras. Shanice is thrilled when she gets to talk to her mother on the phone.
Christmas Day, Thursday 25th December – Hour-long episode at 7.15pm

Okay, so I was totally hooked on this storyline! Daniel and Bertie popped over to the pub with a present for Megan, but Maggie was determined they stay for lunch, which really annoyed Will. Meanwhile, Adam clearly impressed Alya with her gift and even hinted at moving in together – she was thrilled! And to top it all off, Eva discovered her letter had vanished, which just added to the drama. It’s a lot to take in, but I’m already wondering what happens next!
He reached for her hand, trying to comfort her, but Ben unexpectedly walked in and noticed the connection between them. The atmosphere at dinner became strained, and things got even worse when Maggie gave her son a deliberately hurtful Secret Santa present.
Across the street, Lisa tries to hide her discomfort when Becky kisses her neck while they’re opening gifts. She also gets worried when she receives a text from Roy saying Carla didn’t arrive at her hotel in Lanzarote.

Carl suggests a playful outing with James, while Abi brings Alfie to see Kevin. The two men share a romantic morning, completely oblivious to Abi’s attempts to contact Carl and let him know she wants to return home.
Okay, so after all the chaos, George, Christina, Summer, and Glenda head over to Todd and Theo’s place for Christmas dinner. It immediately gets awkward though! Summer, thinking she’s being sweet, gets Todd tickets to a whole event celebrating Andrew Scott – apparently Todd has a bit of a crush. And let me tell you, Theo was not happy about it. It really set a tense mood right from the start.

While a game of charades gets under way, Theo loses his temper and smashes a wine glass.
Plus, David is saddened that a present from Gail has gone missing.
Boxing Day, Friday 26th December – 30-minute episode at 7pm

Okay, so Christmas Day was rough on everyone, but things really went south when Evelyn stumbled onto something awful. She was walking through this little alleyway – a ‘ginnel’ they call it – and found a local guy who’d been brutally beaten. Honestly, it looked like someone had left him to die. It was a shocking scene, even for me, and I’ve seen a lot of dark stuff in movies!
Theo planned a surprise getaway for Todd, which Todd was really excited about. But things got complicated when Todd discovered it conflicted with plans Summer had already made for him.
Monday 29th December – 30-minute episode at 8pm

Kit gets worried when Sarah mentions she hasn’t heard back from Carla via email. He decides to check Sarah’s diary to see if he can find any clues.
Okay, so everyone’s at the Bistro celebrating George and Glenda’s party, and it’s getting interesting! Nick was trying to get Todd to go for a run with him, but then Sarah dropped this huge surprise – she told everyone that Theo used to have a crush on Todd! Honestly, Theo did not look happy about that being revealed!
Theo volunteered to pick up a cake for the party, but Billy was worried as he guided Todd toward the exit. At the bakery, Theo scolded Todd for being friendly with Nick and then unexpectedly left without him.

Will advises Ben to try and get along with Maggie, but wonders if Ben is only doing so because his mother asked him to. Afterwards, Maggie admits she was wrong to confront Eva.
Tuesday 30th December – 30-minute episode at 8pm

Becky is increasingly anxious as she continues her plan to escape to Spain with Lisa and Betsy. At the same time, Theo is actively trying to create trouble between Todd and Billy – will his manipulative behavior finally be revealed?
Maggie offers Eva a half-hearted apology, and the Driscolls wonder whether they can move forward.
Abi confides in Tracy, revealing she’s worried her relationship won’t last and she’ll get hurt. Meanwhile, Evelyn questions whether Tyrone is avoiding physiotherapy because he’s afraid of attempting to walk again.
New Year’s Eve, Wednesday 31st December – Hour-long episode at 8pm

Kit asks Asha to check with her coworkers to see if Costello said anything specific when he was admitted to the hospital. Asha discovers he repeatedly said three phrases, leading Kit to believe these phrases are a location code using the ‘what three words’ system.
I was really struck by a conversation Billy had with Alya. He was asking her about everything Yasmeen went through with Geoff, and what warning signs people should look out for in abusive relationships. It was tough to watch, but so important. Later, I noticed Todd was with George, Christina, and Summer at the Rovers, and he seemed really on edge – something’s definitely bothering him, you could just tell!

Carl wants to say goodbye to his mother, Elaine, at the funeral home, and Ronnie volunteers to accompany him, remembering that Carl didn’t have a close relationship with his mother growing up. When Carl admits he has trouble with intimacy and finds it hard to love, Ronnie asks him about his feelings for Abi.
Ryan was surprised when someone at the hotel asked about an unpaid bill, and he quickly discovered that the passwords for Chariot Square had all been updated.

Tyrone made a cheerful entrance into the Rovers on New Year’s Eve, using his crutches, and was greeted with applause. However, Kevin sat by himself, looking downcast.
New Year’s Day, Thursday 1st January – Hour-long episode at 8pm

I went to see Costello at the hospital today. I told him I’d found his apartment – the one that was empty – and that I knew it was his. As I was leaving, Becky suddenly showed up and thanked Costello for not getting her into trouble. It was a bit of a strange visit, honestly!
So, Lisa just told me she’s actually going through with moving her whole family to Spain, which is huge! She really wants to tell Carla in person, which I totally get. Meanwhile, things are really escalating with Becky’s plan – and honestly, it’s taking a seriously dark turn. The consequences are just… terrifying to think about.
Todd is surprised and concerned when Billy and Summer unexpectedly visit. Theo starts questioning Billy about a person experiencing domestic abuse, and Billy’s deception seems close to being revealed.

After they depart, Theo starts verbally abusing Todd again, accusing him of provoking his anger. Todd quickly leaves the apartment, and later hears a voicemail from Theo saying he can’t live without him.
Debbie is really happy that Sally is throwing her a relaxing pre-wedding pamper party at Sally’s place. She mentions to her friends that she hopes Kevin will forgive Carl before the wedding, and Sally offers to talk to Kevin about it.
Fired up following their conversation, Kevin demands a word with Carl.

Elsewhere, Shona suffers a twinge and struggles to breathe, with David taking her to the hospital.
Friday 2nd January – Hour-long episode at 8pm

Debbie felt upset when her glasses broke on her wedding day, seeing it as a sign of bad luck. Bernie tried to reassure her she’d find something to turn things around, but as guests began arriving at the venue, it was clear many hadn’t made it.
The coach heads to the ceremony, and Asha reveals to Amy that she’s no longer taking her medication. Meanwhile, Tracy confronts Cassie about getting too close to her daughter.

Before arriving at the wedding, Abi found a bag of cash in Carl’s car. But when they got to the hotel, she opened the trunk to find the money was gone. She immediately told Kevin that she suspected Carl was planning to disappear.
Debbie finally shows up and immediately senses the awkwardness between Kevin and Carl. She tells them to stop what’s happening, but when Kevin tries to speak, will his words make things worse?
Okay, so picture this: everyone’s at the dinner table, and poor Todd has a little accident – juice goes everywhere down his shirt. Theo tells him to go clean up, and that’s when things get weird. Billy follows Todd to the bathroom, and that’s where he sees something really concerning – a bunch of unexplained bruises on Todd’s body. It immediately throws a shadow over everything and makes you wonder what’s really going on.

Just before leaving, Lisa gave Sarah an envelope with Carla’s engagement ring inside. Separately, Becky advised her ex-wife that they should ditch their current phones to stay safe, promising to buy everyone new ones before they head to the ferry.
