In Friday’s (July 11th, 2025) episode of Emmerdale, it turned out that the new love interest for Kim Tate (Claire King) was someone quite recognizable.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself immersed in a new romantic journey, marking my first such experience since the tragic passing of my husband, Will Taylor, around Christmastime. Currently, I am dating a wonderful individual named Eddie.
The situation became uncomfortable when Kim disclosed something to Will’s daughter, Dawn Fletcher (played by Olivia Bromley). However, they managed to reach a mutual agreement afterwards.
However, a profound surprise overcame Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) as Kim presented him and Dawn to Eddie. Yet, upon seeing him, Joe immediately recognized who he was.
The individual in question is none other than Dr. James Hillier Crowley, who conducted an illicit kidney transplant on Joe, subsequently extorted him, took him hostage, and drained his bank account.
It became clear to Crowley that Joe didn’t want him around Home Farm, but Kim didn’t know the true nature of her new partner; he was actually pursuing her wealth.
Everything appears arranged perfectly for Kim, yet it’s important to note that the arrangement was made by none other than ‘Eddie,’ who, surprisingly, is not who he claims to be.

“He’s very nasty and he’ll go to any lengths to get her money, and he kind of does.”
She warned that if Kim learns about this situation, not only will Crowley need to be careful about his back, but there could be even greater dangers ahead, and she was being serious.
As a cinephile eagerly anticipating Stephen King’s latest adaptation, I can’t help but share an intriguing tidbit – expect the unexpected! He’s been hinting at a shocking plot twist that will leave audiences reeling. Brace yourselves for a chilling revelation that will surely send shivers down your spine!
One thing’s for sure – if her loved ones are at risk, Kim will be ready to fight.
She shows her relentless side primarily because of her family; she’s much like a fierce lioness. This fierceness is directed towards the protection of her family, especially her children. Her family always comes first in her life.
Besides focusing on purchasing Butler’s Farm, Kim additionally faces other responsibilities, given that she intends to buy it from the hard-pressed Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
“Which could be interesting,” laughs King. “Kim and Moira are not the best of mates!”
However, farmer Celia, portrayed by Jaye Griffiths, and Kim appear to be working together, which might not bode well for Moira.
Just like Kim, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) – who is both the long-lost son of her late husband Frank (Norman Bowler) and an unintentional kidney donor to Joe – is equally dedicated to expanding his own domain.
The actress mentioned, “He’s consistently posed a risk, and deep down she acknowledges this. However, she granted him some land, which she casually referred to as a vegetable garden, so she’s not overly concerned about the property.
If he chooses to align with Moira due to his mixed Dingle/Tate heritage, primarily driven by a lingering feud against Kim, it might lead to potentially harmful situations involving conflicts and clashes.
