As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I was so excited to see the new trailer for season 5, volume 2! It’s dropping in the UK on Boxing Day, and honestly, it looks like it’s going to be a seriously mind-blowing way to spend the holidays.
The latest preview continues the story from the end of Volume 1, bringing back Eight, also known as Kali (Linnea Berthelsen), and showing the developing partnership between Max (Sadie Sink) and Holly (Nell Fisher), who are both stuck in a difficult situation.
Max and Lucas found themselves in a strange, dreamlike world ruled by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), who has a dangerous plan for the other children of Hawkins. Max is fighting desperately to break free from his control and return to her body.
The surprising reveal involving Sink’s character thrilled viewers and hinted that the Upside Down is far more complex than previously thought. Dustin even suggested that everything we thought we knew about it might be incorrect.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, he and his friends are plotting to defeat Vecna. The latest trailer also shows Eleven asking for help from Eight to take down their powerful enemy.
The other person who survived Dr. Brenner’s experiments hasn’t appeared since a controversial plotline in season 2, where a young Eleven left Hawkins to find herself. That storyline remains the lowest-rated episode on IMDb.
Despite the initial reaction, one of the show’s creators, Ross Duffer, called her return a bold and exciting move, and hinted that she’ll be a key player in future episodes (according to Deadline).

As a huge fan, I’m really on the edge of my seat with this series! They’re constantly hinting at big character deaths, and now it looks like Dustin and Steve – seriously, Joe Keery is amazing – are getting into some seriously risky business. They even have this whole thing going where they’re basically saying, ‘We’re going down together!’ It’s classic, but it definitely has me worried for them.
Check out the latest trailer for Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2! You can watch it now, and don’t forget to watch the new episodes on Christmas Day in the US and Boxing Day in the UK.
