All Creatures Great and Small 2025 Christmas special releases emotional first-look trailer

Channel 5 has released a preview for the ‘All Creatures Great and Small‘ Christmas special airing in 2025, hinting at a blossoming romance between two of the show’s characters.

This Christmas special will be set on Christmas Eve in 1945, marking the first Christmas after World War II.

The new trailer offers a glimpse into the future for Siegfried and Mrs. Hall, whose on-again, off-again romance has been a highlight of the show. Siegfried hints at their connection, saying, “We spend our lives trying to find our other half.”

Mrs. Hall wonders, “What if you waste your life searching for something impossible, and fail to notice what’s already here with you?”

Could the vet and the housekeeper finally get together in the Christmas special?

In other parts of the Christmas special, James unexpectedly has to take over the Darrowby Nativity play when Helen gets sick.

Nicholas Ralph, who plays James, described filming the Nativity scenes as wonderfully chaotic. He told TopMob that the director, Andy Hay, simply let the child actors improvise while the camera rolled, and then added animals to the scene, which made things even more lively.

He explained that James was already in a difficult position, having promised Helen he would handle the writing, directing, and production. When he arrived, the situation was already chaotic, so he didn’t need to pretend to be reacting to anything – the real atmosphere was enough.

The latest details reveal Siegfried is returning to Mrs. Stokes’s Farm to check on Hilda the goat, who’s been getting into trouble again. Elsewhere, Mrs. Hall is determined to win the local darts competition, hoping to claim the first prize: a turkey, which is hard to come by because of the war.

Hilda isn’t the only one challenging Siegfried. The story hints at the arrival of an old friend who will surprise both Mrs. Hall and Siegfried, ultimately forcing him to make a significant choice.

Charlotte starts to understand what Tristan is thinking, and their connection continues to grow stronger.
