Right now, we need practical solutions regarding gun control and mental healthcare, but even more importantly, we need empathy and strong leadership. Unfortunately, our president didn’t offer either of those things; instead, he delivered a rambling and nonsensical message. This post is in response to that, specifically for Rob and Michele Reiner.

Kimmel then shared a post from Trump, which read: “A sad event occurred last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a once-talented director and comedian who has struggled in recent years, has passed away along with his wife, Michele. It’s reported this was due to the anger he created in others, stemming from what Trump calls ‘TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME,’ or TDS – a condition he describes as a crippling disease.”

Trump continued by referring to himself in the third person, saying he drove people “crazy” with his intense focus on himself, especially as his administration achieved great things and America entered a golden age. He concluded by offering his condolences to Rob and Michele.

Jimmy Kimmel Ripped Into Trump’s “Hateful” and “Vile” Comments

Jimmy Kimmel described the content as deeply hateful and disgusting. He initially believed it was a hoax when he first saw it, but his wife confirmed it was real. He expressed shock, saying it seemed even more extreme than anything he’d expect from that person, but acknowledged there are no limits to what they’ll do.

It quickly became apparent that Trump agreed with the criticism, as he later publicly called Rob Reiner “deranged” and accused him of being a key figure in the Russia investigation – an investigation many believed was influenced by Vladimir Putin. Trump stated he disliked Reiner completely and considered him harmful to the United States.
