Rob Reiner, Michele Reiner’s Time of Death: Update Revealed

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner likely died before dawn on Sunday morning.

I was so shocked to hear about the passing of the wonderful actor from All in the Family and his wife. It’s just heartbreaking. Now, authorities have released more details about when they believe the couple was tragically killed – around 3 p.m. on December 14th. It’s awful to learn these details, and I’m sending my deepest condolences to their family and friends.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced in a press release on December 16th that Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were murdered around the early morning hours of December 14th.

According to prosecutors, their son, Nick Reiner, is charged with the murder of the couple, allegedly stabbing them to death with a knife at their home in Los Angeles.

After his parents were found dead, the 32-year-old man ran away. Police located and arrested him six hours later in Exposition Park, close to the University of Southern California.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m reporting that Nick is now facing very serious charges – specifically, two counts of murder. What makes this case even more grave is that prosecutors are alleging these weren’t isolated incidents, but rather multiple murders, which carries significant legal implications.

If found guilty, Reiner could receive either the death penalty or a life sentence with no chance of parole, according to Hochman. Prosecutors will decide later whether to pursue the death penalty.

The screenwriter hasn’t entered a plea yet, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, has confirmed he’s representing him in this case.

Nick has publicly discussed his struggles with addiction, having spent time in rehab on 18 different occasions. Throughout it all, Rob remained supportive, even stating previously that he wasn’t concerned Nick’s past difficulties would harm his own reputation or career.

I never even considered that,” Rob shared with Entertainment Tonight in 2016. “He’s my son, and I love him, so none of that other stuff matters. He’s the most important person in my life, and I care about him above everything else.

He shared that his children—Tracy Reiner, 61, Jake Reiner, 34, and Romy Reiner, 27—were the most important thing in his life.

“And Jake and Romy and my family, they’re the most important,” Rob added. “So, that doesn’t factor in.”

Shortly before his parents died, Nick attended Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party with Rob and Michele. According to reports in the L.A. Times and People magazine, Nick and his father got into a visible argument during the party.

From what I’m hearing, Nick reportedly jumped into a conversation Bill Hader was having with some other guests. It sounds like it caused a bit of a stir, according to sources who spoke with NBC News.

According to a source, Nick paused after Bill assured him their conversation was private, then abruptly walked away.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Bill and Conan for comment but has not heard back.

Two years later, Nick recalled an instance when he “wrecked” his home while high on drugs.

I remember hearing him talk about this on the Dopey podcast back in 2018. He described how he went through a really rough patch, basically spending days awake after taking some uppers – he thought it was coke and something else. He ended up just losing it and started punching things, actually going 10 rounds, as he put it, inside his guest house. It was a scary time, and he was really open about how messed up he was.
