Good news for fans like me! Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment just announced when Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is coming to PlayStation 5. We finally have a release window, which is awesome!
With Trails beyond the Horizon releasing next month (published by NIS America), we anticipated the second part would arrive later in 2026, and that prediction is now confirmed.
The new series will be released this fall, so fans have time to finish the first game, which came out in September.

Just to be clear, 2nd Chapter is a complete remake of Trails in the Sky SC, the second game in the popular Trails RPG series.
If this game is as carefully crafted and refined as 1st Chapter – which we believe is a top RPG and remake of 2025 – then it could easily become one of the developer’s best games yet.
Trails in the Sky SC continues the compelling story established in the first game, building on all its previous events. Fans can anticipate that the upcoming 2nd Chapter will deliver a similar engaging plot, making it a highly anticipated release.
