Project Cloud Games’ The Relic: First Guardian has faced several delays since it was first announced, but it’s now scheduled to release on May 26th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can watch the newest trailer below.
This action role-playing game, first revealed in July 2021, draws its story from traditional Korean stories and myths. The game takes place in the world of Arsiltus, where you play as the last chance to save the land after it’s torn apart by mysterious rifts. To do so, you must collect the broken fragments of a powerful, ancient relic.
Putting it into practice is challenging, though, as players face off against 70 tough bosses called Brutals. Combat works like other Souls-like games, focusing on dodging and managing stamina, but recent gameplay also shows a system similar to deflecting in Sekiro. Defeating each Brutal makes your character stronger and unlocks new weapons and abilities as the story unfolds.
Explore the world and you’ll find lots of other weapons and armor – if you dare! You can watch more gameplay for The Relic: First Guardian here, and we’ll share more information before the game comes out.
