During that moment in the match, things took an unexpected turn when Goldberg attempted a spear, but Gunther cleverly stepped aside, causing the referee, Charles Robinson, to take the brunt of the impact instead. Seizing the opportunity, Gunther swiftly removed Goldberg’s knee brace and used it as a weapon, exacerbating the existing injury on Goldberg’s knee. With a cruel twist, Gunther struck Goldberg over the back of his head with the knee brace, making it appear as though the match was all but over. At this point, Gunther paraded around the ring, taunting the crowd with the knee brace in hand.

After mocking and pushing Gabe, Goldberg’s son, who retaliated by leaping over the barrier to confront Gunther, Gunther stepped back onto the ring apron only to receive a spear from Goldberg as he entered. This invigorated Goldberg, who followed up with a jackhammer move on Gunther. Goldberg attempted a pin after a fresh referee rushed into the ring, but Gunther managed to survive.

Later, Gunther held Goldberg in a sleeper hold, but miraculously, Goldberg broke free and sat up. Regrettably, once more, Gunther applied the sleeper hold, and on this occasion, Goldberg couldn’t escape in time, awarding Gunther the victory. As it stands, Gunther remains your WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Following the match, Gunther exited the ring, and Goldberg addressed the crowd, which included many relatives and friends, expressing gratitude for all their support.
