ARC Raiders Locked Gate Event Guide & Is It Even Worth Doing?

The Locked Gate is a special event that only happens on the Blue Gate map in ARC Raiders. It’s understandable to question whether it’s worth attempting, considering how challenging it seems.

This event makes the map a bit trickier to navigate and escape from. Because the best rewards are concentrated in a single area, it also tends to be very competitive. But if you can overcome these challenges, the loot you can find is truly excellent!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to do this even and go over its benefits and downsides.

How to Do the Locked Gate Event

The Locked Gate event only occurs on the Blue Gate map. It takes place every 12 hours and features several special modifiers.

  • Fewer active Return Points.
  • No active Raider Hatches.
  • You can find Security Codes at specific locations.
  • Land mines are hidden all over the map.
  • Raid maximum time is 40 minutes.
  • Rocketeers spawn at Pilgrim’s Peak.

The primary objective for this event is the Gate Control Room, located near the Warehouse Complex. Once there, you’ll need to find and interact with four different terminals.

Okay, so to get through all four terminals, you need a Security Code from a different spot on the map for each one. Here’s where to find them…

  • Ancient Fort on the south.
  • Pilgrim’s Peak on the northeast.
  • Raider’s Refuge on the northwest.
  • Reinforced Reception on the north.

Visit all four locations and search every container you find. Each container at these locations has a chance of holding the Security Code for that area. Your aim is to collect all four unique Security Codes, one from each location.

After completing that step, go to the Security Control Room and use the Security Codes to turn on all four terminals. This will send a message to all players in the game letting them know the Outer Gates are now open!

Next, you should go to the Outer Gates, which is located in the center of the map. You can enter the underground area just like you normally would, even when the event isn’t happening.

The underground area now has a lot more valuable items! You’ll find the Bobcat SMG Blueprint quite often, so get ready to collect some great loot!

So, Is It Even Worth Doing?

If you’re hoping to get the Bobcat Blueprint, participating in the event is a good idea. You don’t even need to actively try – simply playing on the Blue Gate map during the event is enough.

The Bobcat Blueprint can appear anywhere on Blue Gate during the event, not just in the underground area. While it’s more frequently found underground, you don’t need to go there to find it.

Okay, so here’s the thing about this event – it’s probably going to be really competitive. Basically, expect a mad rush for all the good stuff as soon as it’s available, and be prepared for a lot of player-versus-player combat. You’ll definitely be fighting others for the loot!

However, you can also use this to help you. By avoiding the crowded, central areas of the event, you’ll likely find more loot because other players will overlook those spots.

Okay, so I dove deep into this event, and let me tell you, the underground area is packed with good stuff once you unlock it. We’re talking rare weapons, blueprints for Augments, weapon blueprints – basically everything you need to upgrade your gear.
