What’s better than keeping up with your favorite actor?
Maybe it’s finding out that there’s more DNA where they came from!
It’s common to see famous siblings like the Hemsworths, the Jonas Brothers, and the band Haim. Many stars consider their siblings their closest friends, business partners, or even roommates. However, very few shared a living space even before they were born – meaning they were twins or part of a multiple birth.
Some celebrity twins, like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, are famous as a pair and have carefully built their image together. Others you recognize, but might get confused about which twin did what.
Sometimes, celebrities have a twin sibling who doesn’t live in the spotlight—you might not even know who they are! But you can be sure their twin is their biggest supporter. In fact, Gisele Bündchen’s twin sister also acts as her business manager!
Imagine spotting someone who looks exactly like a famous celebrity! You’d hope they’re willing to pose for a quick selfie, and you wouldn’t necessarily need to know if it was actually their twin. For example, you might think you’ve run into Rami Malek, but it could easily be his brother, Sami, just out getting coffee – and no one would have to know the difference!
If that old switcheroo still works.

Rami shared on The Graham Norton Show that he and his twin brother were identical at birth, but they began to grow apart around the age of eighteen.
Despite their differences, twins are still two parts of one whole, something Ashton and Michael Kutcher, and even Scarlett Johansson (who doesn’t have a twin brother named Hunter that people confuse her with), recognize.
In 2020, Scarlett Johansson told People magazine that her brother, Hunter, is the most selfless person she knows. He started Solar Responders, a charity that helps first responders, and she says he constantly inspires her to be a better person. She’s very proud of everything he does.
Here’s a look at some celebrities with twins – or siblings you might not realize are their twins!

Ashton was born weighing a hefty 10.5 pounds, and just five minutes later, his brother Michael arrived as a surprise – his parents had been expecting a boy. Michael, who weighed 4 pounds at birth, jokingly said people thought he must have eaten all the food while in the womb. Michael was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 3 and later received a heart transplant at 13, as he told the Associated Press in 2012.
Eventually, the activist and father of three forgave Ashton – both for eating so much and for revealing details about Michael’s health years earlier in an interview.
I was really upset, honestly, and I do remember talking to Chris about it. I never wanted to be known as ‘CP,’ and I purposely avoided discussing it publicly. But looking back, Chris actually did me a huge favor. He gave me the space to just be myself, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. It really allowed me to embrace who I am.
Topher Grace, known for his role in That ’70s Show, recently told TODAY Parents that his brother inspires him. He explained that seeing his brother face life’s difficulties head-on reminds him that it’s better to confront challenges directly than to avoid them. Grace praised his brother Mike’s strong work ethic and caring nature.

Growing up in New York with their two older siblings, Hunter and his sister lived what he described as ‘very normal city lives.’ He told Parade magazine in 2015 that it’s rare for his sister to go anywhere without being noticed. When she can blend in, he’s reminded of their childhood before she became famous, and he cherishes those moments. He considers her his closest companion, saying that nothing is more important to him than their bond as twins.
Scarlett feels deeply connected to her brother, who was working with a nonprofit to help rebuild homes after Hurricane Sandy. She describes him as incredibly kind and says he’s always been someone who truly sees her – a person who reflects her life back to her and reminds her that she’s lived it fully. He’s been the kind of partner many people search for, someone who understands and acknowledges her journey.

The twins have playfully impersonated each other on occasion throughout their lives. Rami mentioned on Jimmy Kimmel Live that while they used to get into mischief as kids—his brother, Sami, who is four minutes younger, is now a teacher—they don’t look quite as identical as they once did.
Their idea of acting up was actually pretty harmless: Rami once surprised his brother by dramatically reciting a scene from a Greek play during class, completely out of the blue.
The actor remembered Sami, who was close to finishing his degree, explaining that the performance would earn him the credits he needed. According to the actor, the teacher became suspicious after Sami received a lot of applause. She then questioned him privately, asking how he’d learned to perform so well. Sami simply replied that it was just a hobby.
She requested he play one more song for her students, but he explained he needed to leave because his car was parked illegally and he didn’t want to get a ticket.

Gisele shared on Instagram that she and her twin sister, Pati, were celebrating their 40th birthdays. She expressed how grateful she was to have been born with her best friend and twin!

Paul has managed to stay relatively unknown, largely because his identical twin brother, Mark Sinclair, chose a more recognizable professional name.
In a 2015 Facebook livestream, as reported by MTV News, Vin Diesel shared a photo of his twin brother standing with the late Paul Walker – his Fast & Furious costar, whom he affectionately called “Pablo” and considered a brother. Diesel explained that while the two Pauls looked similar, the man in the photo was actually his biological twin brother.

In October 2021, the actor from Stranger Things wished his sister a happy 17th birthday, calling her “the best twin a brother could ask for” and expressing his hope for many more years of their close relationship.

Marissa explained on the podcast Proper Talk by Tonje that having a twin brother gave her a lifelong sense of security. She also mentioned being very close to her younger sister, which meant she didn’t experience much drama with friends. When she did, she could always rely on her family for support – and that was the most important thing to her.
Marissa and her brother Giovanni have collaborated on several projects, including the films Some Girl (1998) and According to Spencer (2001). Both were co-written by Marissa, and their mother, Gay Ribisi, served as a producer on both. More recently, Marissa appeared in On the Verge, a Netflix series created by Julie Delpy, which Giovanni made during the pandemic.

Meet Jaden, the twin brother of Euphoria actor Javon Walton! Back in 2018, Javon affectionately replied to a post saying, “Nothing can come between us JDub.” While Javon pursues acting, Jaden seems to be a sports enthusiast, often posting photos with Onward Athletics Baseball on Instagram.

Joseph explained to The Guardian in 2016 that while he and his twin brother aren’t identical, sharing such a close beginning – including a womb, bunk beds, and the same birthday – creates a unique bond. He feels much more connected to his twin than to his other siblings. His brother, Jacob, works as a conservationist.
Jacob is a highly skilled land manager in England, and in 2020, the New Yorker magazine featured him in a profile. The article described the Fiennes family as one of Britain’s most famous and unconventional families.
The twins are the youngest of six siblings, the eldest being Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes.

For the “The Replacement” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xander’s character needed a look-alike, and actor Nicholas Brendon conveniently had just the person: his identical twin brother.
“He pays me $200 a week to sign autographs,” Kelly quipped toPeople in 1999.
FYI, both brothers go by their real first and middle names, and their last name is Schultz.

They first appeared on screen together in the 1988 thriller Dead Ringers, playing twin call girls, but only Jill continued acting as a profession.
It breaks my heart, honestly. She doesn’t deserve any of this! Back in 2009, Jill was talking about her sister, Jaq, and how awful things get for her just because they look alike. People actually stalk Jaq, convinced she’s me trying to pull something! She’ll be so sweet and say, ‘Hi, I’m Jaq, Jill’s sister,’ and they just don’t believe her. They think I’m being mean or…difficult! Can you believe it? They get angry at her and walk away. And Jill feels terrible, like it’s all her fault for having a twin who looks so much like her. It’s just…it’s so unfair, and I feel so protective of Jaq.
Jill explained that the writer and journalist, who is well-known throughout Canada, often receives negative reactions from people who are acting irrationally. She admitted it’s difficult not to feel personally affected and take responsibility when she hears these stories.
The sisters’ similar looks actually proved useful once: in 1996, Jacqueline filled in for Jill as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in a few courtroom scenes on Law & Order. This happened while Jill was simultaneously filming the same character for a special crossover episode with Homicide: Life on the Street on NBC.

Laverne shared on TODAY in 2015 that she always turns to her brother when she’s facing a difficult decision. She appreciates his honesty and considers him a guiding force in her life. He’s been incredibly supportive and is a talented artist himself.
M, also known as Reginald Lamar Cox, portrayed the role of his sister in flashback scenes showing events before the character Marcus became Sophia on Orange Is the New Black.
In a 2013 interview with HuffPost Live, Laverne explained that the casting director discovered she had a twin brother and wanted him to try out for the role. He auditioned and ultimately landed the part.

Fashion designer Charlotte described her sister, a DJ, as very cheerful and outgoing in the 2020 docu-series Becoming. Charlotte contrasted this with her own personality, saying she was much more reserved and serious.
Musician Mark Ronson playfully told Harper’s Bazaar in 2008 that despite everyone’s busy lives, it was rare for the whole family to be together at once—even on major Jewish holidays. However, they always made an effort to connect with each other individually whenever possible.

In 2016, Eva remarked to The Guardian that Joy was living a wonderful life: married to an Italian count, raising two children, and managing a vineyard in Italy. She playfully added, “Nice life, huh?”
It hasn’t been a difficult life for the actor, known for his roles in Casino Royale and Penny Dreadful, especially considering he’s only two minutes older than his sibling.
Eva explained to the Daily Mail in 2008 that she and her sister, Joy, were very different people. She said Joy never had any interest in acting, which was probably a good thing because they would have been rivals. They used to argue and could be quite mean to each other, but now they have a good relationship. Joy even collects newspaper articles about Eva.

Kiefer shared with The Guardian in 2018 that growing up with a twin taught him the importance of companionship. He always had someone to share experiences with, simply by turning to his brother. When Kiefer became a father, he remarked to his mother how challenging it must have been to raise twins, but she reassured him that his sister Rachel and he had been self-sufficient from a young age – even looking after each other by the time they were two. He found her matter-of-fact response amusing, and he and Rachel remain very close.

Jon Stewart once shared that people used to tell him his identical twin, Dan, was slightly better-looking. But they’d quickly add that Jon was more charming and polite, and therefore more successful with women.
Jon Heder, known for his role in Napoleon Dynamite, shared that people often mistake his friend Dan for him. When Dan tries to explain who he really is, fans assume he’s being dismissive and still ask for a photo. Because of this, Dan usually just pretends to be Jon.
Unable to compete with others, the twins decided to collaborate instead. Along with their older brother Doug, and with a total of six siblings, they created the production company Greasy Entertainment.
