As a movie critic, I’m telling you, this Saturday is a huge day for streaming! Basically, all the major players – Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, Hulu, Paramount+, Prime Video, and even Tubi – are dropping a ton of new content. We’re talking hundreds of titles hitting those services on November 1st, and some real classics are included. I’m especially excited to see Jurassic Park and Back to the Future are both becoming available – perfect weekend viewing!

Although Kryptonite is now a key part of Superman’s story, it didn’t appear in the comics until 1949, six years after it was first featured in the radio show The Adventures of Superman. The origin of Kryptonite is quite strange, and the reason it wasn’t introduced in the comics earlier is connected to a particular issue that could have drastically altered Superman’s entire history.

It’s frustrating when shows ruin their endings by going too far. Sometimes, they use shocking violence or unbelievable plot twists in a last-ditch effort to prove the series is truly finished, but this ultimately breaks the audience’s trust and leaves a lasting negative impression.

Starting November 1st, Pluto TV subscribers will be able to watch the action movie Jack Reacher, starring Tom Cruise. The film follows Jack Reacher, a former military police officer, as he investigates a seemingly random mass shooting committed by a highly skilled sniper. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie (who would later direct Mission: Impossible films), Jack Reacher premiered in 2012 and was based on Lee Child’s 2005 novel, One Shot. While critics gave it a 64% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie was a box office success, earning over $215 million worldwide on a $60 million budget.

It’s exciting that Taylor Sheridan, known for his work on *Sicario*, is writing this film. The recent *Call of Duty: Modern Warfare* games, especially *Modern Warfare 2* (2023), were clearly inspired by *Sicario*, and I’m eager to see if this movie captures a similar feel. I wonder if the filmmakers will adapt a specific game’s storyline or create something new within the *Call of Duty* universe – I’d prefer an original story, but I’m open to either approach.
Speaking of *Call of Duty*, the next installment, *Black Ops 7*, is scheduled for release on November 14, 2025. Developed by Treyarch and Raven, it will continue the story from *Black Ops 2* (2012), featuring the return of David Mason, a co-op campaign, and an expanded Zombies mode.

PUBG is adding an AI teammate called PUBG Ally. This companion will respond to your commands, help you find weapons and equipment, and even chat with you while you play. Initial testing will begin in early 2026 through PUBG Arcade, focusing first on players who speak English, Korean, and Chinese so the developers can gather feedback.

I’m really excited about this new TV movie! It was originally called ‘Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision,’ and it’s going to delve into the King’s dedication to building a more sustainable and balanced world – something he’s clearly cared about his whole life.
