The last few weeks have been great for Pokemon Pokopia players! After the announcement of a new Expansion Pass with more content, The Pokemon Company has revealed the game’s next in-game event. Similar to past events featuring Hoppip and Sableye, this event will add a new Pokemon to the game – and this time it’s the rare Mythical Pokemon, Jirachi!
A new event for Pokemon Pokopia starts June 23rd and lasts until July 8th! It introduces Jirachi, a rare Mythical Pokemon, who will be available during the event. This event seems similar to previous ones featuring Hoppip and Sableye, but Jirachi is much harder to find, making this addition particularly exciting for players looking to complete their island’s collection of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon.
Pokemon Pokopia Adds Jirachi in Next Limited-Time Event
The Pokémon Company announced details about an upcoming event on their official Twitter account. Starting June 23rd, players will have a chance to catch Jirachi, which will appear at the Pokémon Center. It’s expected to be a popular catch, just like other event Pokémon. Similar to Hoppip and Sableye, this event will also ask players to use a Ditto to complete the encounter.
The upcoming Jirachi event will have players collecting new Shining Wish Notes, which will appear on Dream Islands – similar to how Hoppip seeds and Sableye gems appear. Once the event starts, we’ll confirm the exact locations. You can then trade these Wish Notes at the Pokemon Center for special star-themed items. These items will likely be used to build a perfect home for Jirachi in Pokemon Pokopia, following the pattern of previous events.
Okay, so I just saw the new furniture previews, and it’s all space-themed! We’re talking a bed, nightstand, lamp, rug, clock, dresser – the whole nine yards. There’s also a telescope and some other cool stuff that’s hard to see clearly in the pics. Everything is colored yellow and blue, which perfectly matches Jirachi, so I’m super excited about that! Honestly, I can’t wait to build a house for Jirachi, especially while I’m still trying to find all those rare Mythical and Legendary Pokémon on the Dream Islands.
This is the fourth time Pokemon Pokopia has hosted a live event, and things are starting to fall into a familiar rhythm. Like most events so far – except for Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest – you’ll be finding special items that only appear for a limited time, then trading those items for decorations. To join this event, make sure you have the newest version of Pokopia installed, including the free update released in early June. You’ll also need to be connected to the internet.
Starting June 23rd, you can make friends with Jirachi and get special, limited-time items in Pokopia! This will be a fun distraction while we all wait for the Bubbly Basin DLC coming out in August.
