Kit Harington Shares “Overly Traditional” Holiday Family Plans

Winter is coming—and Kit Harington is ready.

Kit Harington, known for his role in Game of Thrones, revealed his plans for a cozy holiday season with his wife, Rose Leslie, and their two young children, ages 4 and 2.

Kit told TopMob News that Christmas will be particularly special this year. “We’re a very traditional family,” Kit said. “It feels like stepping back in time to the 1930s – we listen to Christmas carols on the radio, build a fire, and then go to church.”

He described it as a really cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Afterwards, we usually enjoy a big meal and maybe watch a movie.

Honestly, I was SO relieved to hear he was finally slowing down! After everything, all he wanted was to be with his family, just be home, you know? But, oh my gosh, he had the BEST time filming The Family Plan 2! He kept talking about how amazing it was working with Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan, all over London and Paris! It sounded incredible, even if he was desperate to get back to his loved ones.

He described working with Mark as wonderful, explaining that Mark has always been a mentor figure in his career. While they aren’t far apart in age, Mark’s guidance became particularly valuable when he decided to pursue acting and went to drama school.

Kit isn’t the only one with pre-planned holiday arrangements. Mark, who has four children – Ella (22), Michael (19), Brendan (17), and Grace (15) – with his wife, Rhea Durham, shared that his family was already getting ready for a trip.

We always take a family vacation, and we end up spending a lot of time together, often in close proximity,” Ted star told TopMob. “We eat all our meals together, and fill the whole day with family time. It’s enjoyable, though I suspect my oldest child could use a year-long break from it all!”

Nonetheless, the 54-year-old emphasized, “We love it because we’re all together.”

Michelle, who appears alongside [previous subject], is looking forward to a quieter holiday season. She plans to spend it with her husband, Peter White, her parents, and her brothers.

The actress from The White Lotus described how her family enjoys spending time together doing everyday things like cooking, baking, and playing card games. It’s really about just being together and enjoying each other’s company—they might watch football, but it’s the simple moments that matter.

Sometimes, connection isn’t about conversation, but simply being together – maybe even falling asleep and sharing a quiet moment, then enjoying another slice of pie. It’s those little, everyday things that truly matter.
