Digimon Fans Just Got Some Good News for Early 2026

Good news for Digimon fans, especially those who enjoy the video games, is coming in January! Bandai Namco released the highly successful RPG Digimon Story: Time Stranger this year, and they’ll be sharing more details in the new year about what’s coming in 2026.

The first downloadable content for the RPG was released earlier this month, and fans of Digimon won’t have to wait long for the next one. Bandai Namco recently shared a brief teaser trailer and announced that the second DLC, titled “Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: Nabiku Gaku-Ran,” will be available in January 2026. “Nabiku Gaku-Ran” is currently the Japanese title, and an English version has not yet been revealed.

About the DLC

We don’t have many details about the downloadable content yet, but it will be included with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game, and with the Season Pass. It will also be sold separately for those who don’t want to purchase those bundles.

We’ll have to wait and see how much more support the game receives after launch. Currently, only three downloadable content packs are planned, and based on the release pace so far, the third one is likely to come out early in 2026. Beyond that, it’s unclear if there will be any further updates or content.

About the Game

Released in October, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is a role-playing game created by Media Vision and Bandai Namco. It’s the seventh installment in the Digimon Story series and the first new entry since Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory came out in 2017. The game received a score of 80 on Metacritic.

This monster-taming RPG begins with a secret agent facing a strange creature just before a massive explosion destroys a city. The agent is then sent back in time eight years to investigate what caused the world to fall apart. Along the way, you’ll meet interesting characters and travel through time and different worlds, making choices that will determine the future.
