Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel’s twins marked a hot diggity dog milestone.

The actress from Empire shared a video of her family’s fun outing to Disney on Ice Presents Let’s Dance! on December 20th. The trip included a special first for her 20-month-old twins, Maya and Cooper.

Brandon shared a heartwarming video on Instagram from the Disney on Ice VIP pre-party, showing his twins meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse. He wrote that their reactions were exactly what he’d hoped for, explaining he’d been anticipating this moment for a month. He loves how excited they get over their Mickey and Minnie plush toys, and how they don’t realize the characters are real people, not just toys – something he attributes to limiting their screen time.

Maya was so excited to meet Mickey and Minnie! She squealed with delight and jumped up and down when she approached them. Cooper needed a little encouragement from his mom to go over and give them a hug. After Maya high-fived Minnie, the whole family posed for a picture to remember the special moment.

Brandon said his kids absolutely loved meeting Mickey and Minnie.

Brandon, who married Gabourey in 2021, shared the last photo from their family photoshoot on his Instagram Stories, playfully mentioning his daughter’s love for Minnie Mouse.

He jokingly pointed out that Minnie was the focus of the picture, saying, “It’s obvious who everyone is looking at.” He added, “I understand why.”

The Frankel-Sidibe family is getting ready for the holidays and celebrated by sharing photos of themselves in matching pajamas. Before they meet Mickey Mouse, Brandon posted about their plans and some fun old pictures of the family wearing Christmas pajamas.
