Frankie Grande is on the mend.
The singer, whose sister is Ariana Grande, posted a photo from the hospital following a recent medical procedure.
Frankie shared a photo on Instagram on December 22nd with a neck brace, joking, ‘Wink if you’re freshly repaired!’ They explained that they’d had planned surgery on their neck to ease pressure on nerves, which had been causing pain and other neurological issues for some time.
The 42-year-old said the surgery went perfectly and spoke highly of the amazing medical team involved.
Frankie explained that the doctors relieved pressure on his nerves by removing some bone and tissue. This should allow his spinal cord, discs, and nerves to heal and work correctly. Now, he’s looking at four weeks of recovery, which includes rest, physical therapy, and taking extra good care of himself. He finished with a cheerful, “Merry Christmas!”
As for how Frankie’s healing journey is going so far?
Frankie said she was sore and exhausted, but incredibly grateful to be safe. She’s feeling optimistic about the future, explaining that this experience was a crucial part of her recovery, allowing her to return to performing and living life to the fullest without being limited by pain.
Frankie shared gratitude for all the kind messages, prayers, and support received, saying it’s helping with their recovery. They ended their post with a hopeful message, promising to return soon, feeling stronger and more confident.
Frankie shared some health updates and was overwhelmed with supportive messages from fans and friends, including singer Imogen Heap.
“That was tough!” Imogen said. “I’m so relieved everything turned out okay and you’re feeling alright. Will you need help getting your Christmas dinner this year?”
In response, Frankie told Imogen that husband Hale Grande “is all over it hehe!”

Now that Frankie is on the mend, check out these other celebrities who have opened up about their health experiences.

Former Total Bellas star Nikki Bella shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during an elbow strike from wrestler Piper Niven in a match that took place in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that she’d get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finished her current commitments – hinting at retirement – she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she planned to be active again and didn’t want it to appear neglected.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, people are often told periods are painful and that pain is just something women have to deal with. This leads many to suffer in silence with something that’s a very common experience.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, causing a gap in her abdominal muscles.
She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in a while!” Then, jokingly, she added, “I’ve been meaning to tell you… I think those super-tight pants I wore six months ago gave me a hernia, and I’ve been too embarrassed to say anything.”

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly ruptured appendix.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

Oh my gosh, I was so worried! Our girl, the midfielder for Racing Louisville, just went down during the game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field. It was only a few minutes into the match, and I completely panicked when I saw her collapse. It was terrifying!
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player sat down on the field with a teammate supporting her, and then quickly collapsed. Trainers were called to assess her condition.
Savannah received immediate medical attention on the field and was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems now.
“It’s been a terrible experience,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been having spasms all over my body, and doctors told me recently—within the last year—that I was facing a life-threatening situation.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has a few quirks and isn’t quite working as it should.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He described being in so much pain that he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his legs as of March 2025, sharing this on his Trading Secrets podcast. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat, losing his balance even when trying to stand on one foot. He compared the feeling to having had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.
The comedian later posted an update online, explaining he had food poisoning but was starting to feel better.

I was so shocked to hear this, but Christa Miller shared that she was actually shot in the face while they were out celebrating her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday! They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when it happened, and I just can’t imagine how scary that must have been.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her, evaluating her injuries and getting her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of a direct hit.
The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind her eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll continue to watch her condition, as her vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, saying she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, emphasizing that life can change unexpectedly in a moment.

I’m such a fan of Amy Schumer, and I was really glad to hear how the internet actually helped her figure out what was going on with her health. She talked about how, after doing a lot of interviews, people started commenting on her face looking ‘puffy,’ and she initially just brushed it off. But then, amazingly, doctors started leaving comments too, genuinely concerned that something was wrong! She was shocked to be ‘trolled by doctors,’ but they suggested she might have Cushing syndrome, possibly from high cortisol or steroid injections. That’s when it clicked for her – she’d been getting steroid injections after her breast reduction and C-section! She realized the internet’s criticism actually led her to a diagnosis she wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Now, she’s so relieved it’s a type of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own, and she’s healthy. It’s such a great outcome, and I’m so happy for her that something good came out of a potentially negative situation.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches. After his son fully recovered, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and no parent should have to go through that.”

Let me share something pretty personal with you. Last year, I had a really frightening experience while having breakfast with Justin. I suddenly couldn’t speak, and the right side of my face started to droop. It was honestly the scariest moment of my life! Thankfully, things passed quickly, but I immediately went to the hospital to get checked out. Doctors discovered I’d had a small blood clot travel to my brain, which they identified as a TIA, or a transient ischemic attack. Further testing at UCLA revealed I actually have a hole in my heart called a patent foramen ovale, or PFO. Apparently, that blood clot had moved through the hole and caused the TIA. I’ve since had a procedure to close the PFO, and I’m so happy to say I’m feeling fantastic now. It was a scary experience, but I’m grateful for the quick diagnosis and successful treatment.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey later shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that they were grateful he was going to be okay after what she described as a frightening and unexpected situation.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. He explained that he was in Atlanta when he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin. Before he could take it, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembered only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, bravely battled a life-threatening medical condition. In 2019, she wrote about her experience in an essay for The New Yorker, titled “A Battle for My Life.” It began with a severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a type of stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, struggling to speak coherently.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she’s “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how thankful she is for her family’s support after experiencing a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text and photo, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, existing health issues—specifically, a flare-up of her lupus and kidney problems—required a longer hospital stay. Cori, who stars in the show Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story, is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said, adding that she’s been working on regaining some motor skills but is otherwise feeling good.

I’ve been a longtime admirer of Shailene Woodley, and I was really moved by what she shared recently about her health struggles. She explained that her early twenties were incredibly difficult. For years, she was dealing with a constellation of issues – she actually lost hearing, couldn’t walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours, and everything she ate caused her stomach pain. It was so frustrating because doctors couldn’t quite pinpoint what was wrong.
Being someone who appreciates holistic approaches, Shailene decided to explore all avenues – working with traditional doctors and independent healers. It was a ten-year journey, and she explained how the physical discomfort led to a lot of mental and emotional challenges, like fear around food and struggles with body image and identity. She really opened up about the confusing and difficult headspace she was in.
Thankfully, she’s now in a much better place. She shared that her health issues eventually resolved themselves, and she’s feeling truly healthy and happy – and honestly, it’s so inspiring to hear her talk about finally finding peace and comfort in her own skin.
