Masterpiece Western ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’ is Streaming on Paramount+ in April 2026

As a huge western fan, I have to say this film is a true masterpiece. The director, famous for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, really outdid himself. While he’s known for those classic Clint Eastwood shoot-’em-ups, this one is much more layered and ambitious. It perfectly blends a raw, realistic feel with a grand, almost epic scope. It feels like a beautiful goodbye to the Old West and a welcome – though bittersweet – to the new America. Honestly, if this was the last western I ever watched, I’d be perfectly content.

The decision was made due to the game’s setting and cover art, which depicted aerial combat over cities. With players battling in the skies above skyscrapers using machine guns and other weapons, Sega felt releasing such a game so soon after the attacks would have been inappropriate.
