But that was only the beginning of the No Way Out artist’s current slew of legal woes.
On September 17th, Combs entered a plea of not guilty to accusations of federal sex trafficking and racketeering following his arrest the previous evening in New York City, as reported by the Associated Press.
Approximately six months following the coordinated searches of Diddy’s residences in Miami and Los Angeles by federal agents, accusations of sexual assault were leveled against him, which at the time weren’t publicly acknowledged as being linked to multiple lawsuits that had been filed previously.
According to Marc Agnifilo, his client intends to confront this issue with every bit of energy, strength, and complete trust in his legal team, as stated to reporters outside the Manhattan courthouse on September 17th.
Quincy Brown (aged 32), Justin Dior Combs (aged 30), and Christian “King” Combs (aged 25) were spotted at the federal courthouse earlier, prior to Combs’ scheduled appearance.
Additionally, Agnifilo stated that his client intentionally journeyed to New York primarily to interact with the legal system and initiate the pending case, a move they were fully aware of.
But first, there were the lawsuits.
Following Cassie’s legal action against him, Joi Dickerson-Neal claimed that Combs had drugged and assaulted her while she was a student at Syracuse University in 1991. In the lawsuit she filed on November 23 (as reported by NBC News), she mentioned that Cassie’s suit made her relive his assault.
In response to Dickerson-Neal’s story, a representative from Combs stated it was “fabricated and unreliable” to TopMob News.

He perceives this as a desperate attempt to gain money. Given his fame and accomplishments, Mr. Combs is an attractive target for accusers who may fabricate truths without remorse or repercussion, solely for financial gain. The New York Legislature likely didn’t intend or foresee the Adult Survivors Act being used in such a questionable manner.” The public should exercise caution and not blindly accept these unproven allegations.
On November 28th, it was announced that Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) had resigned from his position as chairman at his own television network, Revolt TV. Although Combs wasn’t involved in the operational or daily aspects of the business, according to a statement released by the company, stepping down would help Revolt stay dedicated to its goal of producing meaningful content for Black audiences around the world.
A Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs, formerly the president of Bad Boy label, several days later. She claimed that in 2003, when she was just 17 years old, she was gang-raped and sex-trafficked by Combs, Harve Pierre (a former executive at the label), and an unidentified man. In a statement, Harve Pierre described these allegations as “disgusting,” “false,” and a “desperate attempt for financial gain” according to the Los Angeles Times.
Following the fourth legal action, Combs voiced his opinion on Instagram on December 6th, labeling the allegations as “shocking” and accusing the claimants of attempting to tarnish his reputation for the purpose of acquiring a “swift financial gain.

On February 20th, Combs and Pierre each submitted replies to Jane Doe’s lawsuit, each denying her accusations. As reported by NBC News, Pierre claimed that he himself did not take part in any sexual assault involving the woman, and furthermore, he didn’t witness such an incident.

Then, Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs faced another lawsuit for the fifth time within four months. On March 25, federal agents executed search warrants on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami, reportedly over accusations involving sex-trafficking, sexual assault, illegal narcotics distribution, and firearms possession. The source also mentioned that four individuals – three women and one man – have been questioned during the investigation. This information was shared with NBC News by a person knowledgeable about the situation.

Homeland Security Investigations New York declared in a statement that they carried out law enforcement operations as part of an ongoing probe, with help from Homeland Security Investigations teams in Los Angeles and Miami, along with local police forces.
Simultaneously, Aaron Dyer, Combs’ lawyer, criticized the raids as an excessive application of forces usually reserved for military situations.
In his statement to TopMob News, he emphasized that there’s no justification for the strong display of power and aggression shown by authorities, as well as the manner in which they handled his children and employees. He clarified that Mr. Combs was not detained but willingly spoke with and cooperated with the authorities. Contrary to rumors circulating in the media, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been taken into custody or had their travel restricted in any manner.
During the afternoon, while searches were taking place at his 17,000-square-foot home in L.A.’s exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood and his waterfront estate on Star Island in Miami, Combs was spotted at Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport – a place frequented by private jets.
