5 Years Ago, Prime Video Quietly Released An Overlooked Sci-Fi Masterpiece

As a sci-fi fan, I’ve been really excited to see streaming services offer up some different kinds of stories lately. We’re getting away from just big-budget effects and endless reboots, and instead seeing a return to more thoughtful, character-driven sci-fi. Netflix has been great with films like Bird Box, The History of Future Folk, and They Cloned Tyrone – they all feel fresh and unique. But 2020 also brought us a fantastic original from Prime Video, and honestly, it’s quickly become one of my favorite sci-fi movies of the 21st century.

7 Best MCU Movie Trailers of All Time, Ranked

Looking back at all the trailers for Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, it’s clear they’re usually great at building hype without spoiling the story. However, some stand out as truly exceptional. Here’s a ranking of the seven best MCU movie trailers ever made.

The Best Mario Spin-Off Came Out 27 Years Ago Today

Mario games that aren’t the main series are generally really enjoyable, and Mario Kart is often considered one of the best multiplayer racing games ever made. But I still believe Mario Party is the best of them all. As the first Mario Party game celebrates its 27th anniversary in Japan, it’s a good time to remember how quickly it became a staple for Nintendo and why it’s remained so popular for the company all these years.

Adult Swim Renews Recent Hit Animated Series For Two New Seasons

The animated series Haha, You Clowns debuted on Adult Swim on October 19th and will conclude its first season on December 21st with the release of its tenth episode. Due to the show’s success, Cartoon Network has announced it will be renewed for two more seasons. “Imagine if Microsoft did this” — Fortnite has been blocked on iOS in Japan specifically by Apple, leveraging new “junk fees”

For years, Apple has been locked in a dispute with Epic Games and other developers regarding access to its iOS platform. Since the beginning, Apple has maintained a closed system for iPhone and iPad development, charging high fees and imposing restrictions that give it significant control over financial transactions and effectively create a near-monopoly.

Stranger Things spin-off’s first plot details are revealed – and it answers one major question

As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I was so excited when Netflix revealed the new series would take place in 1985, fitting right between seasons two and three! It’s going to follow Eleven, Max, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will as they deal with some seriously creepy new monsters and try to figure out this strange, paranormal mystery that’s got their town on edge. I can’t wait to see what happens!

The War Between the Land and the Sea shows where TV is failing with disability representation

As a film buff, I’m really disappointed by the casting in “The War Between.” It feels like the show thinks simply including a disabled character is enough. So far, it seems they haven’t gone any deeper than surface-level representation – there’s no real exploration of disability beyond what you immediately see. It’s a sadly familiar pattern in media, where just having a disabled person on screen is considered a job well done, and it’s frustrating to see it happening here too.
