Elsie Hewitt is getting real about her postpartum experience.
I was really surprised to see Kim Kardashian share a photo on Instagram Stories December 26th showing her wearing what looked like adult diapers. She added a little salute emoji with it! Apparently, she’s been asked to wear them for a couple of weeks now, after she and Pete Davidson welcomed their baby girl. It was definitely unexpected, but she seemed to be owning it!
Just so you know, and for her sister’s information, Elsie clarified, “My sister asked if I urinate in them, and if you’re wondering the same thing, the answer is no, haha!”
The happy moment follows a whirlwind of emotions for the 29-year-old. She recently shared that she’s been overjoyed with tears since her daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, was born on December 12th. The baby’s name honors Pete’s late father, Scott Davidson.
As a mom myself, I totally get those moments where you just look at your baby and the tears start flowing! It’s this overwhelming wave of love and disbelief – like, ‘Wow, I made this perfect little person, and my heart is going to burst!’ You’re not alone if you find yourself crying from pure, joyful overwhelm. It’s the most amazing feeling, and sometimes it’s just too much to handle!
Creating something truly exceptional can sometimes mean it needs a bit of extra support or attention after it’s released.
Elsie had previously been open about the challenges she faced while trying to get pregnant, revealing in October that a 2024 endometriosis diagnosis led her to fear she might not be able to conceive.
She told People magazine that she was absolutely certain she couldn’t have children, believing she was infertile.
I was so relieved when she finally had laparoscopic surgery to address her endometriosis. It’s a really painful condition where tissue like the stuff that lines your uterus starts growing outside of it, and it had been causing her terrible pelvic pain and making it hard for her to get pregnant. We were all hoping the surgery would finally give her some relief.
I decided to have the surgery mainly because of my symptoms, but also because I wanted to protect my ability to have children in the future.
Elsie and Pete had already moved in together by the time they made their red carpet debut in May at the Blossom Ball, a charity event for the Endometriosis Foundation of America. They announced Elsie’s pregnancy in July.
She playfully announced in a post that everyone now knows they had sex, also demonstrating her witty chemistry with the former Saturday Night Live cast member.
Things didn’t get easier, though. Elsie shared in a video last November that she’d been experiencing pain from the start, and it was continuing to get more intense.
She said she’d tried absolutely everything to relieve the pain. “It just keeps getting worse, and now I can’t even walk,” she explained.
Even after giving birth, she had to have surgery to remove a wisdom tooth the very next day.
Elsie recently shared a photo showing she’s recovering well, and even playfully matching outfits with her new baby! While she’s still using adult diapers for now, she knows motherhood is a lifelong journey. Here’s a look at all the celebrity babies born in 2025:
