The current DC K.O. Knightfight comic series is revealing Batman’s anxieties about his former Robins. After being knocked out early in a tournament for the Heart of Apokolips, Batman was unexpectedly brought back into the competition thanks to special armor. However, he’s now battling versions of himself from different timelines—timelines where his former sidekicks have become Batman. This forces Bruce Wayne to confront how others interpret his legacy, including the particularly grim vision of Red Hood, and to face a potentially devastating future for himself.

Just a few years after his popular “Chanukah Song” on Saturday Night Live, Adam Sandler created a Hanukkah movie that didn’t quite hit the mark. Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights, now available on Paramount+, stars Sandler as Davey Stone, a troublemaker who’s forced to coach a kids’ basketball team to avoid going to jail. The film wasn’t a success, earning only $23 million worldwide and receiving poor reviews – a 13% score from critics and a 50% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s really sad to see Anthem go. I remember being so excited when it came out in early 2019 – BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age, was trying something new with a live-service game. But honestly, it just didn’t click. The gameplay felt repetitive pretty quickly, even though some of the stuff was fun. It just couldn’t compete with games like Destiny 2 and Warframe, and people started losing interest fast. BioWare tried to fix it with a big rework, but eventually they realized it wasn’t worth the effort and just stopped updating it back in 2021. It’s a shame, because it had potential, but it just never really came together.

The first six volumes will be released by April 2026, and Viz is planning to continue releasing more volumes next year. They have a lot of material to work through, as the manga has many volumes and a fantastic story. Despite being a complex and highly-regarded series, Kingdom hasn’t always had a large international audience, remaining most popular in Japan and East Asia—but that’s starting to change.
