Amy Poehler Got Into a Fight on a Plane for Swearing Near a Baby

Amy Poehler is usually a good hang—but not during this moment. 

Recently, the actress from Parks and Recreation shared a story about a flight she took with Ana Gasteyer, her former Saturday Night Live coworker, and Frances, Ana’s now 23-year-old daughter. They were traveling during the filming of Mean Girls when they got into an argument with another passenger.

Amy recounted an incident on the December 23rd episode of Good Hang with Ana, explaining that a fellow first-class passenger politely asked them to quiet down. Amy jokingly said her strong Boston accent immediately came out in response.

Ana, who has two children, Frances and Ulysses (age 17), with her husband Charlie McKittrick, thought it was amazing. She also mentioned the other person got upset that someone was swearing near the baby.

Amy isn’t the only actor who’s caused drama on a movie set. Mark Ruffalo recently revealed he had to intervene when his Now You See Me co-star, Woody Harrelson, almost got into a physical fight during filming of the 2013 movie.

Mark remembered filming the first Now You See Me movie in New Orleans, entirely on location. He described using long lenses to capture shots and even being pulled into bars while filming scenes, sometimes during the middle of Mardi Gras, as he shared on Ted Danson’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast in October.

Amid the “wild” moment of shooting, Mark noted that a woman came over to Woody to dote on him. 

Mark recalled Woody gently touching her arm and saying, ‘Oh, thank you. Thank you, darling.’ Then, he said, a man suddenly pushed her aside and shoved Woody.

Mark immediately sensed things were about to go wrong, because Woody didn’t react by pushing back – he punched the other person right away.

Honestly, I was so relieved when Mark pulled Woody out of that bar. Things were really starting to escalate, and I was worried a full-blown fight was about to happen. Mark definitely saved the day by getting Woody out of there before it got out of hand.

“I was like, ‘This could be fun,’” Mark joked, “but it also just could go so disastrously wrong.”

The singer shared on her podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer, that this happened over ten years ago. While she doesn’t remember exactly how many times they went out, she clearly remembers their final meeting.

Jana, who was around 26 at the time, said Chris asked her to come over when he had some friends visiting from Boston.

Jana recalled that the last thing she remembered was her boyfriend going to the bathroom right after she’d eaten asparagus, which made her urine smell unusual. They didn’t spend the night together. Not all of these confessions are amusing.

Elisabeth recently shared with The Ankler newsletter that a lie she told at age 34 was the biggest regret of her life. She explained that the lie grew over time and became a heavy burden she carried for years. She also clarified that she has never been diagnosed with cancer.

Finch, who was temporarily removed from their role on the ABC medical show before ultimately quitting, admitted, “I messed up badly. It was completely unacceptable, and I take full responsibility.”

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.

The reality star told The New York Times she’d try almost anything to look younger.

She admitted in June that she’d even consider something extreme – like eating something disgusting daily – if it meant she could look younger. She emphasized she was serious, saying, ‘I just might.’

Kim told Allure in July 2022 that she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.

Kim thought for a moment and then said, ‘Honestly, I’d probably eat something awful if someone promised it would make me look younger – even if it meant eating a bowl of poop every day.’

She wasn’t sure how much she could eat. “Perhaps just a small taste,” she said. “I definitely couldn’t manage a full bowl.”

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t shy away from the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

You know, looking back, I think it’s important to remember that Jason DeFord – that’s Jelly Roll’s real name – never intended to cause that much harm. It really puts things in perspective when you consider he didn’t foresee the impact his actions would have.

He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I sincerely apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience turn from supportive to completely against me.”
