The name ‘Wizard’ held a special significance – Billy Batson would revert to his child form whenever he tried to say it. While details of this effect have changed depending on the writer and story, the name change wasn’t a complete fix. DC Comics seems to agree. As of Justice League Unlimited #18, they’ve brought Billy back to being Captain Marvel, but it’s questionable whether this will stick.

The upcoming series Clayface is directed by James Watkins (known for The Woman in Black and Speak No Evil) and written by Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, the Haunting series on Netflix) and Hossein Amini (Drive, Obi-Wan Kenobi). Tom Rhys Harries (Britannia, Suspicion) stars as Matt Hagen, a promising actor who is injured by a gangster. This leads to experimental surgery that gives his body a clay-like form, as hinted at in early footage. You can watch the trailer below.

The animated series Kevin, available on Amazon, was co-created by actress Aubrey Plaza. It centers around a cat named Kevin who navigates his owners’ breakup by embracing independence and seeking a fresh start. Similar to the show Bojack Horseman, the series features talking animals who live alongside humans. Aubrey Plaza not only produces the show but also lends her voice to it, alongside a talented cast including Jason Schwartzman, John Waters, Whoopi Goldberg, Aparna Nancherla, and Amy Sedaris. Although its debut didn’t top shows like The Boys and Invincible, landing in the number eight spot for original series is a significant accomplishment.

I was so excited when Pokemon Go launched the Preview Cup (Experimental) league on April 21st! It’s a new way to test out battling other players, and you can find it in the Go Battle League, just like the other special Cups they run. Niantic even asked us what we think of it, and honestly, they’re getting a LOT of feedback – good and bad, I’m sure!

It’s understandable when some game series end, but it’s a shame when a promising one is cancelled too soon. Some of these deserve another chance to prove their worth. While it’s unrealistic to ask for new games from very old or forgotten series, we can still hope! From hidden gems to beloved PlayStation classics, there are several cancelled game series that deserve at least one final installment.

Clayface is most well-known for appearing in various Batman adaptations, including video games like LEGO Batman and Arkham City, and the animated series Batman: The Animated Series (the episode “Feat of Clay” heavily influenced the new film). However, Batman himself won’t be in the Clayface movie, as far as we currently know. No actor has been chosen to play Batman in the DC Universe yet, and it would be unexpected to see him debut in this film instead of his own standalone movie.
