7 Great Fantasy Movies on Prime Video You Didn’t Know Were Streaming (Dec ’25)

As a huge movie and TV fan, I’ve noticed Amazon really likes to make a splash when they win a big deal. Everyone heard about them landing the rights to James Bond – they weren’t shy about announcing it! But it’s cool to see them also promoting their own successes too. I’m especially excited for the final season of The Boys – that show is brilliantly twisted. And right after that, we’re getting more Invincible – Season 4 is coming out early next year, which I can’t wait for! It’s good to see Prime Video building some really strong franchises of its own.

While these options might not immediately convince everyone to subscribe, there’s still plenty to enjoy on Prime Video. Here are seven fantastic fantasy movies currently available on the platform that you might have missed, all streaming in December 2025.

7) The Last Witch Hunter

Vin Diesel is famous for leading the Fast & Furious movies, but he’s also been in other interesting projects. The Last Witch Hunter features him as Kaulder, a witch hunter who lives forever and dedicates his life to fighting evil. Although critics didn’t love it when it first came out, the film has gained a following over time, with people now enjoying its over-the-top action. With a second movie planned, now is a great time to revisit Kaulder’s fight against the Witch Queen.

6) Dracula: Dead and Loving It

With the recent reboot of Naked Gun getting a lot of attention, many are remembering Leslie Nielsen. While Liam Neeson does a great job, it’s hard to compare to the original films – Nielsen’s comedic style was truly unique. If you’re a fan and want to see more of him, you can find Mel Brooks’ hilarious parody Dracula: Dead and Loving It on Prime Video. It’s not Brooks’ strongest film, but it’s still a fun watch.

5) Jabberwocky

It might seem odd to mix comedy with fantasy, since fantasy stories often aim for a serious tone. But director Terry Gilliam consistently manages to strike the right balance in his films. For example, Jabberwocky follows a humble apprentice on a quest to defeat a fearsome dragon, and the resulting movie is full of naturally funny moments, combining silly humor with a surprisingly rich story.

4) Wicked

Even popular movies can be hard to find on streaming services. John Chu’s Wicked: For Good was a huge hit in 2025, finishing the story of Elphaba and Glinda. Now, if you want to watch the original Wicked movie, you can stream it on Prime Video. It shows how these two iconic witches of Oz first met and what ultimately caused their friendship to fall apart.

3) Sorceress

Many fantasy films include a character whose decisions change the fate of the world. In the movie Sorceress, a powerful, evil wizard tries to sacrifice one of his twin daughters to a god to maintain his power. However, his wife keeps secret which daughter was born first. The twins grow up to be skilled fighters and ultimately rebel against their father. Sorceress is also notable as the final film directed by Jack Hill, making it an interesting piece of film history.

2) Season of the Witch

While Nicolas Cage is known for many roles, fantasy isn’t the first genre people associate with him. Though he’s done excellent dramatic work and even a few superhero films, Season of the Witch is a surprisingly good movie in his filmography. In it, he and Ron Perlman play knights charged with escorting a young woman accused of witchcraft. They quickly discover the situation is far more dangerous and complex than they initially thought, pulling them into a sinister battle.

1) Nosferatu

Robert Eggers is a leading figure in contemporary horror, but his films often blend in fantastical elements, making him appealing to fantasy fans as well. His latest film, Nosferatu, tells the story of a German town plagued by evil, and the townspeople’s struggle to uncover its source. Though inspired by the classic Dracula tale, Eggers elevates the story with a superb cast including Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, and Willem Dafoe, whose performances are a major reason the film succeeds.
