The third season of Primal kicks off by immediately revealing how Spear was resurrected. The previous season ended with him facing a powerful, supernatural enemy – a result of a Viking’s desire for revenge. This Viking enhanced his opponent with magic, leading to a deadly fight where Spear tragically died. Now, thanks to the same mystical forces seen throughout Primal, Spear has returned. This year has seen a lot of new animated movies released, from big studios like Disney, DreamWorks, and Sony Pictures Animation, as well as smaller, independent ones. Films such as David, The Bad Guys 2, Fixed, and In Your Dreams have all gotten attention, but only the very best stand out. Here’s my list of the top 10 animated movies of 2025.

The action game genre hasn’t seen much exciting news lately, with only Black Myth: Wukong’s 2024 release generating significant buzz. The lack of updates on Devil May Cry and the disappointing Bayonetta 3 were partially offset by the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 late last year. As the episode ended, it became clear that the most important task for the sorcerers is figuring out how to free Gojo Satoru, who’s currently sealed away. Tengen gave them some crucial information, and they already had one piece of the puzzle – the back side of the Prison Realm. This led to two possible ways to unseal Gojo, but it’s ironic that he actually destroyed the tools needed for both – the Inverted Spear of Heaven and the Black Rope. Luckily, Tengen also mentioned a third option: a sorcerer currently competing in the Culling Game, known as Angel, has a cursed technique that could potentially break the seal on Gojo.

On January 17, 1978, Marvel Comics revamped its Power Man comic book with issue number 50, retitling it Power Man and Iron Fist. This change proved to be a huge success, rescuing both characters from potential cancellation and launching what many fans consider Marvel’s greatest team-up.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has announced several new movies coming to theaters. These include The Great Beyond, a film by J.J. Abrams, scheduled for November 13th, Panic Carefully from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail on February 26, 2027, and a prequel to The Conjuring, titled The Conjuring: First Communion, which will be released on September 10, 2027.

By the end of Avatar: Fire and Ash, Pandora remains largely unchanged. While the RDA’s plan to hunt the Tulkun has been stopped, the human corporation still controls a presence on the planet. Meanwhile, Colonel Quaritch has teamed up with the Ash People, but becomes disappointed with the RDA’s actions. The film concludes with him leaping from a high cliff, leaving his future uncertain and setting the stage for the next movie.
