49-year-old actress who starred in “Salt” is generating Oscar talk for her role in the upcoming film (releasing in select theaters on Nov 27 and Netflix on Dec 11), where she portrays renowned opera singer Maria Callas. Even with a previous award, the accolades are especially gratifying for her.

She went on to say, ‘Any form of appreciation, or acknowledgement that you’ve done a good job, is particularly meaningful when it’s for something you hold dear.’

Although the founders of Atelier Jolie’s children may not pursue acting roles, they have certainly been around film sets. In truth, her eldest children contributed to the production of “Maria,” working alongside director Pablo Larrain in a supportive capacity.

According to Angelina, Mad and Pax were helping with the assistant direction on a project back in August. She mentioned they’ve collaborated on this kind of work multiple times before, which she believes is beneficial for their growth.

She remarked, “Pax often handles stills, and he’s usually called upon for this task. Pablo, on the other hand, excelled at it and acknowledged his aptitude for it.

To be quite honest, having my two kids by my side during the filming of this particularly challenging role turned out to be incredibly supportive and helpful for me. It made the experience more manageable.

She clarified, “I’ve never been in a situation where my family isn’t allowed to be present because I need to concentrate—I’m not that kind of person.” Essentially, she invites you to interact with her freely or drop by whenever. It was particularly meaningful for her when her sons were with her during the time of Maria. In those tough moments, they would simply offer a comforting hug or a cup of tea.

Angelina explained further, “That experience was particularly intense because, generally speaking, I try to conceal my pain and sadness from my children. It’s rare for me to express so much distress in their presence. So, it appears to have been the first time they heard me weep like that.
