Christian Combs and Justin Combs are taking a seat in front of the camera.
While Sean “Diddy” Combs is serving his five-year prison sentence, his sons are releasing a documentary series about his recent trial. He was convicted on two charges related to prostitution, but found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering.
In a preview for the Zeus Network series released on December 28th, Justin, age 32, started a projector, displaying footage from the trial. His brother, 27, joined him in their home theater as the screen filled with news headlines and clips filmed outside the court.
A news report mentioned that Sean Combs brought his entire family – including his children Quincy, 34, Chance, 18, twins D’Lila and Jessie, 18, and Love, 3 – with him to court that day.
Inside the theater, Christian and Justin watched the screen, listening to a voice ask, “Do you still think your father didn’t do it? What are your thoughts now that you’ve heard that evidence?”
The trailer gave viewers a glimpse of the series’ emotional range, featuring a series of words and phrases that highlighted its core themes: ambition, family, conflict, happiness, sadness, identity, devotion, treachery, triumphs, failures, love, hatred, honesty, and deception.
Finally, Justin got a call from the prison holding Combs. A robotic voice announced over the speakerphone, “This is a prepaid collect call from Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution.”
The new series from Christian and Justin arrives shortly after Netflix released Sean Combs: The Reckoning, a documentary produced by 50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson III). After the documentary’s release, Sean Combs’ lawyers strongly criticized it, labeling it a biased and unfair attack.

A representative for Sean Combs stated that Netflix is clearly trying to create a scandal around his life, prioritizing sensationalism over accuracy to fuel constant media attention. They argue that if Netflix respected the truth or Mr. Combs’s legal rights, they wouldn’t be using private, out-of-context footage – including confidential conversations with his lawyers – without permission. According to the statement, Mr. Combs never gave Netflix or anyone else the rights to this material.
The streaming platform, however, denied that the footage was stolen.
Netflix confirmed to TopMob News that this project isn’t connected to any previous discussions with Sean Combs. They also stated that the footage of Combs before his arrest was obtained legally.

At the hearing on October 3, 2025, the judge sentenced him to over four years in prison—specifically, 50 months—followed by five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine.

The musician publicly apologized to Cassie Ventura and a woman identified as Jane during his sentencing hearing on October 3rd. This was the first time he had spoken about the case in court.
Combs admitted that the trauma of domestic violence would stay with him for life. He described his behavior as appalling and deeply regrettable, explaining that drug use had left him unable to control his actions. He acknowledged needing help, which he didn’t receive, and stated he wasn’t trying to justify what he’d done.
He went on to share how the case has impacted him.
He explained that he was simply doing his best, but got carried away with his own pride and excesses. As a result of his choices, he lost his freedom, couldn’t be there for his family – his children and mother – and lost everything he’d worked for: his businesses, his career, and his good name. Most importantly, he lost respect for himself. He described feeling completely broken and stripped of everything, admitting he deeply disliked himself at this moment.

Judge Arun Subramanian set Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing for October 3, 2025. The judge also refused to grant Combs bail before the sentencing, explaining that his history of violent behavior meant he should stay in jail.

Following the trial, after Sean “Diddy” Combs was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges related to his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, and another woman known as “Jane,” but convicted of transporting them for the purpose of prostitution, his attorney issued a statement.
Honestly, it all started with Cassie – my Cassie – being so brave and filing that lawsuit back in November 2023. I was so proud of her! Even though the jury didn’t find enough proof for the sex trafficking claims, she did manage to get them to find him guilty of helping someone with prostitution, and that’s huge! She’s a total inspiration, and she’s already changing things in the entertainment industry and for anyone fighting for what’s right. She’s left such a lasting impact, and I’ll always admire her for speaking up.
Acknowledging the charges Combs denied, Wigdor emphasized, “We firmly stand with and support our client, who demonstrated remarkable bravery during this process.”
Wigdor also commended Ventura for her testimony, as she was one of 34 witnesses during the 29-day trial involving Combs.
He said she demonstrated incredible courage and highlighted the long-standing issue of abuse of power by influential men, as well as the decades of unchecked misconduct. He stated that this case clearly shows the need for change, and they will continue to support survivors.

When Combs learned he was found not guilty on three of the five charges against him, he dropped to his knees and bowed his head as if in prayer, NBC News reporters in the courtroom observed. He had faced a potential life sentence if convicted on all counts.
According to reports, Combs’ family members were in the courtroom and reacted with applause and cheers to the verdict. His lawyers embraced each other, and Combs himself shared a hug with his attorney, Brian Steel.

After three days of discussion, the jury of twelve reached a decision in the sex trafficking trial against Combs on July 2nd. They found him guilty on two counts related to transporting former girlfriends, Ventura and another woman known only as “Jane,” for the purpose of prostitution.
Sean Combs, who maintained his innocence, was acquitted of one charge of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking.
The jury informed Judge Arun Subramanian that they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge before delivering their final decision, citing strongly held and differing opinions. The judge urged them to keep discussing the case, and they ultimately reached a verdict a few hours after resuming deliberations the next day.

Prosecutor Christy Slavik told jurors in a nearly five-hour closing argument that Sean “Diddy” Combs used intimidation, force, and control to achieve his goals.
She explained that he was incredibly stubborn and always got his way. He saw everything and everyone around him as existing solely to fulfill his needs, treating his life like a personal kingdom.
Slavik highlighted two instances of alleged abuse by Combs: a physical assault on his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016, and a more recent alleged assault in 2024 on a girlfriend who is being referred to as “Jane” during the trial.
Although eight years apart, these two events are connected, representing different parts of the same overall story—the story of Sean Combs and the criminal organization he ran with the help of his close associates.
The criminal organization repeatedly fulfilled the defendant’s wishes by using a consistent pattern of violence, intimidation, and control, she explained. The defendant believed he could conceal his crimes by relying on the silence and embarrassment of others, and he thought his celebrity, money, and influence meant the law wouldn’t apply to him.
As a longtime observer, I remember Slavik pointing out how Combs had this incredible team around him – a whole crew of people dedicated to making his life easy, building up his image, and shielding him from any negative publicity. It was like they were determined to fulfill his every wish and protect his reputation no matter what.

The prosecutors asked the court for permission to change some details of their arguments about the attempted arson and kidnapping.
Despite still being charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – including allegations of kidnapping and arson – prosecutors have dropped attempted kidnapping charges based on the laws of both California and New York, as well as attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking, according to a letter filed on June 24th.
The government stated it hopes that using simpler language will make the instructions easier to follow and prevent misunderstandings.

Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge made it clear that whether or not the defendant chose to testify, no one – not even the jury – could assume his guilt based on that decision.
Combs admitted he discussed with his team whether or not to testify, but insisted the final decision to not appear was his alone.
“I’ve thought this through carefully, and this is what I’ve decided,” he told the judge. “It’s my choice, and I’m standing by it.”

Sean Combs’ lawyer, Teny Garagos, informed the judge that both sides – the defense and the prosecution – anticipate their closing statements will each take a minimum of four hours.
After several days of testimony from Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Joseph Cerciello, the prosecution rested its case on June 24th. The defense team for Combs announced they will rely on the evidence already presented and will not call any witnesses of their own.

During his testimony on June 23rd, the jury saw explicit videos presented as evidence. According to NBC News reporters present, these videos appeared to be recordings of events referred to as “freak offs” involving Combs.
The agent reported finding 50 explicit videos from 2021 and 2022, but the jury only viewed two of them, using headphones and individual screens.

In voicemails to his former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, Sean Combs outlined a series of requests he had while staying at a hotel in November 2021. These included asking for more baby oil, which he said he often used when experiencing intense emotional outbursts.
He told Khorram to have them call him before starting their journey. He added, seemingly surprised to be out, “Put twenty bottles in this vehicle.”
Khorram also said she would stay at the hotel one extra night, and let them know, “The baby oil is right outside the door.”
Okay, so I’ve been going through all the texts, and it’s insane. Apparently, his ex-employee was getting an IV drip ready for him and Jane. Can you believe it? He actually used it to recover after… well, after one of their, uh, ‘competitions,’ as they called them in the group chat. It’s just… a lot. I’ve read the texts like a million times, and it’s still shocking!
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.

The jury saw text messages between Combs and Ventura where Ventura openly described the emotional and psychological harm she claimed she suffered due to the alleged abuse.
In March 2017, after Combs suggested they take a break from their on-again, off-again relationship (which lasted from 2007 to 2018), Ventura responded that she didn’t want to, explaining she didn’t want to be criticized for standing up for herself and felt Combs made her feel unimportant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
In a letter from May, Ventura described a painful experience, stating, “I offer you my love, but the moment I look away, you self-destruct and then pull me into it—literally dragging me by my hair.” She emphasized that she was no longer willing to tolerate the behavior, writing, “I’m 30 years old, and this isn’t a game anymore.” She also expressed a feeling of detachment from the situation, saying she felt as though she wasn’t even present during a particularly difficult moment, and that witnessing her own strength during it was a powerful experience.

Brendan Paul, who worked as Sean Combs’ assistant from 2022 to 2024, testified that he bought drugs for Combs several times. These drugs included marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy.
Paul explained that they would contact the drug dealer by text, and the dealer would then come to one of their houses. He said he initially met the dealer through text messages or phone calls. Paul also mentioned he had been fired from jobs several times for things like forgetting his Lululemon fanny pack.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.

On June 18th, Judge Subramanian ended court for the day because one of the jurors was sick and couldn’t return. Court will also be closed on June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday.
The judge explained that a juror is unwell and unable to attend today. They experienced dizziness and had to leave, and their partner informed the court. Because this juror is a regular member of the jury, the judge stated they won’t be able to continue with the trial today.
Okay, so the judge basically said they don’t know if this juror’s dizziness and everything – seriously, she’s got the spins, feels sick, and has a headache – is going to go away quickly or if it’s something that’s going to stick around. But they said they’ll keep an eye on it, which… honestly, is a little scary! I just want everything to go smoothly, and this is so distracting! I’m just worried about how this will affect things, you know?
Because of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19th, Judge Subramanian announced the trial will continue on June 20th with a shorter schedule, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Just after Judge Subramanian removed Juror No. 6 due to inconsistent statements about where they live, another juror is now potentially facing removal. This juror is accused of discussing the case with a former coworker. The judge questioned the juror and asked to examine their phone, according to NBC News.
By the end of the court session on June 16th, a decision about whether to dismiss the member hadn’t been reached.

Kanye West showed up at the New York City courthouse on June 13th to support Sean Combs. West was there for about half an hour and briefly visited the waiting area, but he didn’t go inside the courtroom. The courtroom itself was reserved for Combs’ family, lawyers, the press, and people who had waited in line for hours to get a seat.

Jane remembered a fight they had after she took a trip to Las Vegas with a fellow rapper and his wife.
She testified that this behavior escalated to sexual voyeurism. Specifically, she described soliciting Anton, a sex worker frequently hired by her and Combs, and witnessing a group of people watching him engage in sexual activity with a woman in a hotel room during their trip.
Jane informed Combs’ lawyer, Geragos, that the music executive was angry after he believed she went to a sexually suggestive party with another man.

On the 21st day of the Combs trial, a prosecutor named Maurene Comey told the court her team wants to dismiss one of the jurors.
She told Judge Subramanian, just before the jury came in, that they were hesitant to submit the letter because it seemed dishonest and created significant concerns for them.
Defense lawyer Alexandra Shapiro – noting that Juror No. 6 is one of the Black jurors – requested a day or two to prepare a written response and review relevant legal precedents.
Judge Subramanian stated he would postpone addressing any practical issues regarding the juror until a ruling is reached.

On June 10th, Jane and Garagos had a heated discussion where Garagos implied the witness was exchanging sexual favors for expensive gifts.
Attorney Mark Geragos reviewed text messages from November 2021 between Jane and Sean Combs. The messages showed Jane was distressed that Combs was having sexual relations with other women. She specifically asked him if he had bought one of those women a Chanel bag after their encounter.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.

Jane stated that in 2022, after researching their relationship, she came to believe Combs engaged in, or was comfortable with, a dynamic where he watched her with other people. She used the term ‘cuckhold’ to describe this.
As a lifestyle expert, I often encounter curiosity about relationships, and this particular research really stemmed from wanting to understand why some people find excitement in open relationships or watching their partner with others. I wanted to really dig deep and explore the underlying motivations and feelings behind that dynamic – what creates that pleasure, and what’s going on beneath the surface.
The witness suggested that Combs’ interest in “hotel nights” – experiences very similar to those described by Ventura as “freak offs” – might stem from Combs exploring his own sexuality.
She explained that some individuals might secretly desire experiences they feel embarrassed to pursue directly, and instead live vicariously through another person’s actions.

Jane stated she’d given the escort, Paul—whom she and Combs hired several times—the nickname “Trifecta,” explaining she likened their sexual relationship to the winning teamwork of famous basketball players.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
Okay, so she said Paul was really sweet, and honestly, the way she talked about… well, everything… it was like she was trying to justify things. She admitted she’d, you know, used escorts before, but she kept saying it was important that they had a good vibe, a ‘warm energy.’ It was… weirdly specific, and I can’t stop thinking about it. It felt like she was desperately trying to make it okay in her head, like needing to believe she only chose… nice ones. It just shows how much she’s into finding genuine connection, even in… that situation. I just get it, you know?

Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram caused problems in her romantic relationship with the music executive.
Jane explained that Khorram was constantly with Sean, which created problems in their relationship. She felt Khorram had strong feelings for her, and that those feelings affected how Sean behaved towards her.

On June 10th, Judge Subramanian rejected a request for a mistrial from Combs’ lawyers. They had argued that Ventura and her friend, Bryana Bongolan, falsely claimed Combs had threatened Bongolan by holding her over a balcony on the 17th floor.
His attorneys, who had previously asked for a mistrial but were turned down, claimed in a court document that the prosecution acted improperly by presenting false testimony.
According to a recent letter, the government presented evidence in court that they either knew was false or should have known was false. This evidence concerned their claim that Mr. Combs threatened Bryana Bongolan by holding her over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. Because of this, the letter argues the judge should declare a mistrial to prevent an unfair outcome.

Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that an argument with Combs started because he was seeing a much younger woman – 25 years his junior. This argument, she said, resulted in her calling him a deeply offensive name and physically assaulting him by pushing his head into a marble countertop.
The witness stated she hid in the main bedroom, and Sean Combs began trying to force the door open—photos of the damaged door were shown as evidence. She claims that while attempting to escape, Combs kicked her in the thigh, causing her to fall.
She told the prosecutors that he grabbed her in a chokehold, pinning her to the ground and lifting her up until she struggled to breathe. She was trying desperately to escape his hold, and was forced to stand on her toes in an attempt to get away.
Let me tell you, safety is always the priority. This woman described a terrifying situation where she actually had to run from a house and hide outside for about two hours, hoping the person she was with would just leave her alone. Sadly, he didn’t. When they went back to his place, she tried to create some distance and protect herself by curling up outside, but unfortunately, she alleges he continued to attack her. It’s a heartbreaking example of why trusting your instincts and prioritizing your well-being are so crucial.

Jane testified that the fight got worse after Combs supposedly hit her. She told the court he began punching her in the head, then started kicking her while yelling and continuing to hit her.
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She testified that she told him, “No, I don’t want that. Please just leave me alone, please just go. Stop!” But he grabbed her arm and pulled her hair, dragging her back towards the house by her hair and arm.
Jane reported that after the attack, she had two large, raised bumps about the size of golf balls on her forehead, and a black eye.

Jane stated that Homeland Security Investigations raided her home – which Sean Combs had paid for in March 2023 – as well as several other properties owned by him. She explained that when agents arrived at her house, she immediately contacted Combs’ head of security to inform him of the raid.

In December 2023, Jane claimed a powerful person threatened to share intimate videos of them with the father of her child.
Jane testified that as her relationship with Combs fell apart, he told her he had nothing to fear from releasing the videos. She described the situation as a relentless series of pressuring phone calls.
Jane texted Khorram about what happened, and this conversation became part of the legal evidence. In her messages, Jane stated that Combs was threatening to release a video, and she claimed she was “heavily drugged” in it.
She explained she needed space from Combs to heal from the emotional pain he had inflicted.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.

During her court testimony, Jane stated that certain claims in Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit – which was eventually resolved – were similar to what she herself went through with Combs.
Wiping away tears, she told the jury she nearly passed out, and may have actually lost consciousness. She explained that three particular pages contained deeply upsetting details that mirrored her own experiences.
Jane, a participant in the “hotel nights” events, shared that the experience felt deeply personal, like she was witnessing her own life unfold. This prompted her to reach out to Combs directly via text message to address what had happened.
After Ventura filed her lawsuit, she wrote, “Reading this feels like reliving my own sexual trauma. It’s sickening – it details the same drug-filled days and nights. You knew this would happen. You manipulated me and made me question my sanity.”
The messages expressed feelings of disgust and being pressured into repeated sexual acts. The sender felt invalidated and gaslit regarding their trauma, leading to feelings of violation and the belief that they had been sexually exploited.
Combs then called Jane and secretly recorded their conversation, which was later presented as evidence. During the call, he reminded her that they had shared experiences and stated he needed her presence at a specific time.
Unaware she was being recorded, Jane told Combs she felt nauseous after reviewing Ventura’s documents.

Jane stated that during her involvement with Combs’ “Hotel Nights,” where she and male escorts engaged in sexual activity, she occasionally used ecstasy. However, one night she chose to remain drug-free while with three partners.
She testified that she had been with several men that night and had vomited. Sean then entered the room, reassuring her that she would feel better and suggesting they go outside.
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
