Amy Schumer Slips Into Bikini, Bodysuit After 50-Pound Weight Loss

Amy Schumer is skimming through her best vacation looks.

The comedian enjoyed a tropical vacation, spending time in the sun, on the beach, and in the water. On December 29th, she shared an Instagram Story selfie taken in a bathroom mirror while wearing a black SKIMS bodysuit.

The next day, she shared photos of her beach day: one of her swimming in a black bikini and goggles, and another of her relaxing on a boat wearing a white cover-up.

Amy added in the caption, “Dream on.”

I’ve been so inspired watching Amy Schumer embrace her body and confidence! Since her diagnosis with Cushing syndrome in 2024 and her incredible wellness journey, she’s really been shining. I remember being thrilled when she first showed off her transformation in that little black Miu Miu dress in Las Vegas back in October. And then, just last month, she shared a gorgeous photo of herself at home in a bright yellow Valentino minidress – she looked absolutely radiant! It’s been amazing to see her confidence grow.

But for the 44-year-old, she didn’t lose weight for superficial reasons.

Amy shared on Instagram that she lost 50 pounds, not the 30 pounds previously reported. She explained that her weight loss wasn’t about appearances, though she admitted feeling good was a nice bonus. She lost the weight to overcome a serious health issue – a condition causing severe swelling and potentially leading to death – which was noticed and addressed thanks to online attention, and is now in remission.

After Amy announced her separation from her husband of seven years, Chris Fischer, she quickly addressed rumors that her weight loss was a factor in the breakup.

Let me tell you, it wasn’t about a little weight loss making me think I had a chance, and it definitely wasn’t just because he’s an incredibly talented, award-winning chef who’s still got it! Those weren’t the reasons at all.

Amy, who shares her 6-year-old son, Gene, with the chef, posted a message saying they remain friendly and full of love and respect for each other, and will always be a family.

She jokingly explained in a December 12th Instagram post that it wasn’t because she’d lost weight and thought she could get a boyfriend, nor was it because he’s an attractive, award-winning chef who’s still desirable.
