In the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime, Lucy is slated as the show’s first guest character, leading some gamers to speculate that Guilty Gear Strive might be wrapping up things in a grand fashion. However, it seems that developer Arc System Works still has more up their sleeve.
Ken Miyauchi, the producer, hinted at substantial plans for the game’s upcoming development. During a chat with Dexerto, he shared some intriguing insights, implying that fans of Strive can anticipate some exciting updates in the near future.
According to Miyauchi, he’s reluctant to reveal specifics, but rest assured, there’s a significant project underway with unexpected twists.
There has been much discussion about what lies ahead for Strive, as it’s now entering its fifth year and its fourth season of DLC is wrapping up with Lucy, who is scheduled to be released sometime in 2025.
It seems quite plausible that we might get a Season 5. There are plenty of characters from the past that Arc System Works could bring back into play. However, Miyauchi’s choice of words was rather forceful, leaving us curious. Perhaps more details will be revealed at Evo 2025 in August…
