Onyx: The Dark Grip Trademarked by Bloober Team, Potential Reveal Coming on February 15th

In just one year, Bloober Team has successfully brought back interest in the Silent Hill series and released a fantastic new Dead Space game. Now, they’re hinting at another project! A mysterious website, RemosdNeulSerorehsoOvamCeyerd.com, appeared on New Year’s Eve and is counting down to an announcement scheduled for February 15th.

A new trademark filing in Europe might have revealed Bloober Team’s next game before its official announcement. Discovered on Reddit, the trademark – titled “Onyx: The Dark Grip” – was applied for in March 2024, registered in August, and recently updated. This suggests the game won’t be a new installment in the Eternal Darkness series, unless “Onyx” is just a working title.

What exactly is this new game? It could be Project M, a survival horror title announced for the Nintendo Switch in February 2023. According to Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno in a recent interview, the game will feature a unique and innovative twist not found in other horror games. He says it’s a concept that can only be fully realized on Nintendo’s hardware.

Babieno assured fans who enjoy games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness that his new game will feel familiar and comfortable. He hinted at a possible update to the Sanity system, which many players would welcome.

Bloober Team has several projects in development. They’re currently remaking the original Silent Hill, and recently launched Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece on Nintendo Switch 2. They’re also adding an ‘Easy’ difficulty mode, called Temporal Diver, to their game Cronos: The New Dawn, which is planned for release in early 2026.
